Tell Me Something Tuesday + Meet Ralph

Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post on Rainy Day Ramblings where Rainy discuss a wide range of topics from books to blogging. Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the question and answer it on your blog.

Do you prefer series or stand alone?

Ooooooooooooooooooooo! A tough one. Ummmmm.....I will have to say stand alone books. I like both, don't get me wrong, but thinking about the books I read there are very few series I follow through on. Not that I didn't like the book, but sometimes one or two are enough for me unless I am in love with it.

Stand alones have their curses too with me, but I do like getting the full story and having a conclusive ending. There are books that I think need a series or would benefit from having more. Those happen here and there.

I always say I want to read and stick with more series, but there are not a lot of series (that I haven't already finished) that I stay interested in enough. I really need to get back into the Anita Blake series.

So yes - if I had to pick which one I prefer. I lean a little more towards stand alone books.

~*~*~*~*~

Soooooo everyone. BF and I got a new baby on Thursday. I've been sooooo busy this week getting so that is why I didn't post much. (Also work has been insane on top of everything). Say hello to our new family member.....RALPH!

He is about 13 weeks old or so. We found him at the local shelter in need of a good home. The best guess they have for him is a rat terrier mix with a touch of black lab. He is a super baby. It has been YEARS since I have had to deal with puppy-hood. Oh my. He is a handful, but he is a darling and good boy.

Mamyia is slowly accepting the fact that she is a middle child now. She has to share BF and me which has been a "fun" balance. Ralph just wants to play with her and she is not having it yet. Give it time. Her natural playful attitude will return.

Rei and Toki, our chinchillas, could not care any less. As long as they get what they want and need his presence means nothing. He doesn't go up to their cage, so I don't think he is aware of them yet.
