REVIEW:
What a crazy movie this was. Such an original idea for sure and I did find it hilarious.

The movie follows a group of friends who love to play games. They have a weekly game night with each other. Max and Annie are our main characters. They are both highly competitive and always host these game nights. Max's "cool" brother rolls into town and everyone adores him...except Max. They invite him to game night. It goes okay. The brother (I am blanking on his name) decides HE wants to host the next one because he has a GREAT idea. Well...that involves a pretend kidnapping and the players have to find him. Well...things go a little nutty and the pretend kidnapping becomes an actual kidnapping.

The most hilarious aspect of the movie is that the characters don't realize it is not pretend at first. Max's brother really did get kidnapped. Seems like something that would to me if I tried to plan this event. >_> But yes. I think that was the funniest part of the whole film. After they uncover the truth and learn more about the brother and WHY he was kidnapped, I did get annoyed. They wanted to find him. Ugggghhhh I would've just called the cops and left it be. Super jerk that brother is.

I think my favorite scene was the kidnapping scene. While the brother is fighting for his life the gang was enjoying the show eating cheese and drinking. Hahahahaha. I was simply on the floor.

The antics and comedy were fun. That cop was creeeeeeeeeeeeepy.

It did get a little nutty and over-the-top, but this was really a parody in of itself. You really can't take this movie too seriously. There is a plot and there is some feeling, but overall? Just a fun movie to watch, especially with friends. I watched this with a couple of my gal pals and it was a hoot.

In the end, fun characters and funny story. It got over-the-top near the end, which was eye-rolling-worthy. I highly recommend watching this with a group of friends or have it playing in the background during your game night. I did take a HUGE lesson from this.......never go to a murder/kidnapping mystery party.

I'll stamp this with 3 stars.
