Be careful making bets and never doubt the existence of magic. Emmy Johns is the type of person who just wouldn’t be careful. She has had her heart broken enough times and now she finds herself in the middle of a bet that, unknowingly, might be against the very existence of the love of her life. She lives in a small town, surrounded by a forest that hides all kinds of unimaginable things – including Peter, a handsome, mysterious and irresistibly charming man that’s going to turn Emmy’s life upside down. Or will the entire town become witness of unexplainable events? Emmy didn’t expect it, but her heartbreak is going to lead her to unveil the deepest secrets of the forest that surrounds her. Will it be love at first sight? Will Emmy be able to remember it at all? Is the bet worth it in the end? Maybe it is a matter of blurring the lines between witchcraft and love.

I feel like I am spring cleaning! Another freebie that has been on my ebook shelf that I have read and removed! Fun times!

The story follows Emmy who has had her heart broken too many times to count and after a girl's night, she finds herself part of a bet that will lead her down a weird world. She meets Peter who is a handsome and mysterious fella who lives in the woods. Her life is turned upside down.

This started off okay but then got really silly, really quick.

I did not like Emmy.

I did not like Peter.

Not liking the two main characters is never a good thing.

Carol and Sarah were fun, but I could be biased because they reminded me of me and my friend Sarah.

I honestly just skimmed through this and was happy to be done. Even though this is a short story, I felt like it was never going to end.

Not for me sadly, but I'm glad I gave it a go. I'll stamp this with 1 star.

Silly in a book not meant to be and disliked characters would sour me on it, too.
