Reading Challenge 6 month Check-in

We are halfway through the year! WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA?

Let's see where I am standing with my challenges for the year.

Reading Challenges

Goodreads -  49/143. I am technically 11 books behind schedule. Eeek. I had bad couple of months thanks to life. I'm sure I'll catch up, but I'll have to put some hassle into it.

Romance Reading Challenge - One Bingo done! Nearly done filling out the sheet. Click here here to check out the books I have read for this

Cloak and Dagger Reading Challenge - 13 out of 16/25! Doing great! Nearly there. Click here to check out the books I've read for this.

LIBRARY LOVE CHALLENGE - 11/24. Getting there. Click here to check out what I have read for this challenge.

AUDIOBOOK CHALLENGE - 24/50+. Nearly halfway there! I think I can dooo it! Click here to check out the books I have listened to for this challenge. I picked Marathoner (Look Ma No Hands).

2024 Reading Challenge

Welllllll hello 2024!!! Let's go ahead and get our goals for the year!!! :D

Reading Challenges

Goodreads - I plan on reading 143 130 (*10/2024 due to real life things - I have lowered my reading challenge for the year). One up from last year. I barely made it in 2023, but let's seeee how this goes.

Romance Reading Challenge - I plan on completing the whole bingo sheet! Woot!

Cloak and Dagger Reading Challenge - I picked level 2...Detective. This means I'll have to read 16-25 books that are in the mystery/suspense/thriller/crime/true crime genre.

LIBRARY LOVE CHALLENGE - I picked Thrifty Reader. Which means I need to read 24 books that I borrowed from the library.

AUDIOBOOK CHALLENGE - I picked Marathoner (Look Ma No Hands). I dropped a level since two years in a row I have failed. Much closer in 2023 I believe. But yes, this year I will need to listen to 50+ audiobooks.

2020 Goals Update

Goodbyeeee 2020. Hello 2021. I have my hopes high for this year!

Here are my 2020 goals/challenges. Let's see if I accomplished some of them. I'll be sharing my goals for 2021 in a different post. :) Still figuring out which challenges I wanna do this year.

Reading Challenges:

Audiobook Listen - Goal was 50......

I was able to listen to 63! Blew past this one.

Goodreads - Goal was 140......

I barely hit 140. Huzzah!

THE BAD BOYS OF ROMANCE READING CHALLENGE - Goal was level 2 so between 10-15 books......

I was able to read 11. :) Not too shabby.

2020 Romance Bingo Reading Challenge - Goal was to get as many bingos as possible (for sure more than 1)......

I nearly got all of them! Shy of a couple of bingos. But I am proud!

Life Challenge:
Been doing way better than I imagined with the whole COVID and remote life. Yess, both BF and I have been working remote. Luckily the house has enough space that we can escape each other. I haven't been perfect with working out. But I've been doing a fasting diet and Herbal Life protein shakes. So I haven't gained any weight. I've last a hair of weight but nothing to write home to mom about.

As for my crafts and art and writing...I've done a little bit here and there. Not as much as I should or want to do. Just haven't had it in me. COVID Depression and all that jazz.

Now....there is one goal that I did FINALLY reach. I've been wanting this since I was a wee little thing. It happened on the 16th of Dec. (those who have me on FB or Twitter or Instagram probably already know)....but BF is no longer a BF. He is now my fiance! He proposed FINALLY after 8 long years. LOLLL. I am so excited!!! We are thinking May 28th 2022. We shall see!

Don't mind my goofy face! LOLLL I think I'm funny.

I think that is it for my goal check-up. I am proud of what I did accomplish this year. I could've done more but I am happy with what I did accomplish.

June is Audiobook Month!

As many of you know this month is Audiobook Month! Whooo! Thanks to Blodeuedd last year she got me addicted to them. Darn you lady ;)

But yes, I'll be trying to challenge myself Audiobook-wise like I did last year. My first goal last year was only 2. I blew past that goal by this time last year.

This year my goal is 30, but I secretly wish to listen to 40.

For this special this month, I want to listen to 2 or 3 a week, so that will get me to about 8 this month.

So far I have listened to a couple already. Huzzah!

Goals for 2019

Image result for happy 2019

A new year! New goals! A challenge indeed.

Reading Goals:
I am going to challenge myself this year with some reading challenges. Last year I just did the Goodreads challenge. This year I'm going to be doing three plus the Goodreads challenge.  Woo.

I'm also planning on listening to audiobooks still. I ended up doing WAYYYY better than the 2 I wanted to last year (I was in the 30s).

- Audiobooks
30. My secret goal is 40.

- Goodreads
140 Books. My secret goal is 150, buuuuut we shall see.

- Cloak and Dagger Reading Challenge

I'll be doing the DETECTIVE level. 16-25 books

Blodeuedd and I are also "hosting" two challenges as well.

-One is a Historical Romance Reading Challenge
It is a bingo style. My goal is to try and read as many as possible!

-The other is a Contemporary Romance Reading Challenge
It is a bingo style. My goal is to try and read as many as possible!

Blog Goals:
Like last year, I will try to post at least 6 days a week. I did a good job last year, so I am going to try and maintain this. In a perfect world, I want to do 7 days a week but I know there will be times I just don't have anything or forget.

I'm also signing up for the Blog All About It again. Super fun! Here are the monthly prompts this year.

Jan- First
Feb- Pink
Mar- Luck
April- Sweet
May- Bloom
June- Risk
July- Heat
Aug- Sky
Sept- Crunch
Oct- Shiver
Nov- Thankful
Dec- Twinkle

Personal Life Goals:
My biggest goal is getting healthier. We got an elliptical in December so I plan to use that. I want to work out a minimum of 30 minutes a day. I need to get back into yoga. I fell off the rails in 2018 for yoga. Yoga is amazing. I need to do it once a week. It always makes me feel so much better.

I'm also loving to paint. I didn't do much in December because of all the holidays and events. However, I will be getting back on track. I like to paint either Wednesday or Thursday before logging into work.

***2018 Goals Updates***

Image result for Goals

Happy near the end of the year! I just wanted to share my goals that I accomplished this year!

- Reading Goals

- Blog Goals

This year I wanted to be better at posting. My goal was to post 6 days a week. I feel like I did well. I posted either 6 or 7 days a week. There were a couple of weeks I dropped the ball, but overall I did pretty well.

- Audiobook Goals

I blew past this goal! I wanted to listen to 2 audios and managed to listen to...39 audiobooks!

-Personal Life Goals

Lost a couple of pounds but nothing crazy. I have done well with working out. Either by walking or by using our elliptical that we just built a few days ago. I've also been SUPER artsy this year. Loads of painting and making some crafts.

Tell Me Something Tuesday: Midyear Update - Favorite Reads, Goal Progress etc.

Midyear Update - Favorite Reads, Goal Progress etc.

Halfway done already? Where is time going????????

Here are my goals that I listed earlier in the year for TMST -

"READING GOALS: I know for sure I want to read 108 books this year. Don’t judge me on my odd number of books ;). My secret goal is for 110 books, but I don’t have faith in myself. I start the challenge SO strong, but I fall apart during the summer. Luckily I won’t have school or moving to hinder me. Hopefully this will be the first year where I literally have NO excuses to slack in my reading or posting on my blog. Which brings me to my next goal.

BLOG GOALS: I plan to try and post more frequently this year! Usually I would go through posting a lot to posting once a week. The goal for this year is to have a post at least 6 days out of the 7 days of the week. One day during the week I may take a breather and not post anything. Ideally I would like a daily post of my randomness…but let’s take some baby steps. Maybe 2019 we can up the goal!

MOVIE GOALS: I want to at least watch one movie a week and have a review for it. Last year I went through bursts. Watching a lot…then nothing for days. One movie a week is my goal! If I can get two I would take a shot of whiskey in celebration.

AUDIOBOOK GOALS: Here is a rough one I have always struggled with. This year I want to listen to at least 2 audiobooks. So far I have already listened to one. This is a very doable goal for some, but for me? I struggle. I have a hard time finding audios and if the narrator is boring I for sure skip it and read the book myself. So we shall! I would faint if I listen to more than 2 this year!! Again..baby steps. Maybe 2019 I can push that number up a hair. We shall see.

PERSONAL LIFE GOALS: I would like to say I want to lose more weight. But the number doesn’t bug me anymore. I just want to be healthier. Now that we have our own house, we are making our own little gym in the tool shed. So far we have weights, weighted-jump rope, and a punching bag. I’m currently saving money for an elliptical for me. My goal for this year is to work out at least 2 times a week. I don’t see this happening until I get my elliptical, so I will be nice to myself until I get that. For now, I’ll just walk and maybe punch on the punching bag and do a couple of weights here and there."

First...reading goals: I have done well this year. Currently, I am four books ahead of my goal. Huzzah!!!!!

Second....blog goals: Doing pretty good with my posts. There are a couple of weeks here and there I miss the goal of posting 6 days. But there have been weeks when I post all 7 days. It evens out I think ;)

Third....movie goals: Doing pretty good here too. I go in batches...I watch a ton of movies and then nothing, but I have a back-up of reviews to give. I think there was one or two weeks when I had nothing to give. LOL

Fourth...audiobook goals: I have outdone myself. I wanted to listen to only 2 books this year. Errr! I have listened to WAY more than 2 books. I am not even sure the number. Minimum one a month.

Lastly....personal life goals: I've lost 9 lbs thanks to the KETO diet. It took 2 months...but I did it. I've drifted away from KETO but have maintained the weight loss from it. I would like to go back on it maybe...but I'm not sure it works well for my body. I was supposed to lose more than that. NOT complaining at all for sure. I have been doing okay with my working out. No elliptical yet...but I have been doing SOMETHING every day to stay active and make-up for my sitting job. I need to do more though.

Painted thia at Painting with a Twist. Yesss that quote is from 'Beauty and the Beast'.

Tell Me Something Tuesday: Goals for 2018

Goals for 2018
Oooooooooooo goals. I am so bad at these!

READING GOALS: I know for sure I want to read 108 books this year. Don’t judge me on my odd number of books ;). My secret goal is for 110 books, but I don’t have faith in myself. For now, I’ll just walk and maybe punch on the punching bag and do a couple of weights here and there.

Another goal I have is to be more artisy-craftsy once we are done unpacking and decorating the house (I need to see what we really need). I am inspired by my friend, Ciri (one of her painting is actually the header I now use for my blog). She is so awesome at making things for her house. She inspired me SO much that I actually went to a work function after work. We went to Painting with a Twist and we painted a portrait. Sure we were guided by a professional, but I ended up being SO proud of my work. It is currently up at my house. It is Christmas-y, so when I take down my decorations that will be packed away until next year. That experience made me I want to do more! This includes writing more too. Maybe I’ll share some of my stuff I make or stuff I write in the future! Below is the portrait that I did. #iamproud
