2025 #Audiobook Challenge - .65/75+. Failure.

Close but no cigar. I just can't beat this challenge. :/

Here is my first audio of the year vs. my last audio of the year

Cloak and Dagger Reading Challenge - 26/16-25 books. Success.

TECHNICALLY, I read well over 25. I just stopped counting them. I was on a mystery/thriller kick this year. I think (if I do this one again) I may up the number ;)

2025 #TBRChallenge - 12/12. Success.

OVERALL:
I pretty much accomplished all my reading goals! I fell a little shy on the audiobook challenge, but it was close. I could try it again next year, but we'll see.

Good year overall!

Reading Challenges Update (July - end of September)

Happy October!!!

Let's do an update from July to today. Oct-Dec is our last push to finish our goals!

Goodreads -  Read 100 out of 140 books. Fell a wee bit behind because of my vacations this summer/spring. But we'll catch up. The holidays are always great reading times!

Romance Reading Bingo - Only 4 boxes left to check!

2025 Library Love Challenge - Summer Semester (May 1st - Aug 31st). 14/12 books. Went over! Yayy! Per the math we saved $140.40.

- Autumn Semester (Sept. 1st – Dec. 31st). 2/12. Doing alright.

2025 #Audiobook Challenge - 42/75+ books. Eeeee. Not sure if I'll be able to beat this goal. This was an ambitious goal for sure, but I wanted to try! Might have to shove in some short stories to help get to at least 75.

Cloak and Dagger Reading Challenge - 26/16-25 books. Yayy! went over the total. Next year I may go up a level.

Here is the bonus book...#26 ;)

2025 #TBRChallenge - Do the monthly prompts! So far 9 for 9. On track!

Reading Challenges Update (Year-to-Date)

Happy Mid-July!

Meant to do this at the beginning of June as a half-way there update. But life...and my brain is that of a goldfish so I totally blanked. Let's give a Year-to-Date update!

Goodreads -  Read 68 out of 140 books. Fell a wee bit behind because of my vacation. Whoops. I'll catch up...I swear.

Romance Reading Bingo - Full sheet.4 bingos. Nearly have all the boxes checked!!

- Summer Semester (5/1 - 8/31). 5/12. Not doing too shabby. I'm hoping to go over the 12 so I can "catch" up and make up for failing Winter.

2025 #Audiobook Challenge - 30/75+ books. Doing okay. 40% done. Not quite at halfway there at this stage in the game.

Blodeuedd's Monday Review: The Billionaire Scrooge Next Door by Olivia Hayle

Release date: 12-12-22

Length: 4 hrs and 52 mins

Publisher: Theresia Publishing AB

Categories: Romance

Narrated by: Meg Price, Neill Thorne

From: storytel.fi

I do not have a lot to say about this one. It was rather boring at times. Too much talking. Like talk talk talk. That was all they did.

No drama. They meet again. They knew each other as teens. He was besties with her brother. He is a bit grumpy at first cos boo xmas, and then it changes. And they talk.

And then they lived happily efter after. I honestly could have stopped listening, but I wanted one last audio in.

Narrators were good at least

Adam Dunbar was once the boy who never gave me a second glance. Now he’s the hot billionaire next door who can’t look away.

I go home to Fairhill for the holidays to escape my cramped city apartment and failed career. My to-do’s are spending time with family, eat turkey, and watch bad Christmas movies. Reigniting my crush on my brother’s former best friend was not on the list.

Adam is back in our small town after a decade away. He’s older, richer, and more of a Scrooge than ever. Christmas is commercialism, and he won’t have any of it. Me? I start listening to holiday music in October.

But our clashing opinions on the season don’t stop the attraction growing between us. Could this grumpy billionaire actually be my perfect Christmas gift in disguise?

And if so... Do they accept returns?

Reading Challenge Update

October is nearly over. I'll be traveling over the weekend and next week I'll be a busy bee....soooo I'll do the update now! We are nearly done with the year. A couple of months left to finish these challenges.

Here is what I have read between Jan 1st - Oct 23rd

Reading Challenges

Goodreads -  102 out of 143  130 (yesss I lowered it. This year has been a mess). Here are some recent ones I've finished! :D

Romance Reading Challenge -  25 out of 25. All done! Weeeee!

Cloak and Dagger Reading Challenge- 22 out of 16 done! Blasted past the goal!

AUDIOBOOK CHALLENGE - 49 out of 50 done. One more! Here are some of my recent ones.

DNF Second Chance -  I still need to do our 2nd one of the year. It keeps getting pushed to the back burner. Maybe it will be a November read or I could save it for December....Xmas is full of good will and forgiveness and love....right?

But one is done. Here is the link to the review. I actually did like it more than the first time around! :)
