Tell Me Something Tuesday: Mid-Year Update - What Have you Been up To

6/29: Mid-year update: what have you been up to?

HOW ON EARTH IS IT ALMOST JULY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel like this year is getting away from me. So insane.

Gah. I am behind in my overall reading goal but I know I'll catch up. I do not read as much in the summer and spring especially since we bought the house a couple years back. Lots of chores outside which that is mainly what we have been doing in-between wedding planning and seeing family/friends.

I've been catching up on my shows and movie list. Still wish I had time to watch more!

Recently got myself a smartwatch to monitor my steps, heart rate, sleep, and etc. I'm trying to make sure I get my steps in and keep active-ish even while I work. It's helped! It has a fun function that reminds me to get active if I've been sitting for more than 45 mins.

Let's see.....what else......

Not much else....

OH! I haven't had time to craft or paint, but I've done some tinkering around. Even tried my hand at oil pastels. Eee. That will take practice but it's been fun.

That's all I got I think. :)

Enjoy my recent project. My dad made me a shoe rake/table for this little cubby I have in the front room. I tried my hand at wood staining and I painted this little sign too. Also, found this adorable fake plant set-up at Michaels. ^_^ #proud.

2020 Goals Update

Goodbyeeee 2020. Hello 2021. I have my hopes high for this year!

Here are my 2020 goals/challenges. Let's see if I accomplished some of them. I'll be sharing my goals for 2021 in a different post. :) Still figuring out which challenges I wanna do this year.

Reading Challenges:

Audiobook Listen - Goal was 50......

I was able to listen to 63! Blew past this one.

Goodreads - Goal was 140......

I barely hit 140. Huzzah!

THE BAD BOYS OF ROMANCE READING CHALLENGE - Goal was level 2 so between 10-15 books......

I was able to read 11. :) Not too shabby.

2020 Romance Bingo Reading Challenge - Goal was to get as many bingos as possible (for sure more than 1)......

I nearly got all of them! Shy of a couple of bingos. But I am proud!

Life Challenge:
Been doing way better than I imagined with the whole COVID and remote life. Yess, both BF and I have been working remote. Luckily the house has enough space that we can escape each other. I haven't been perfect with working out. But I've been doing a fasting diet and Herbal Life protein shakes. So I haven't gained any weight. I've last a hair of weight but nothing to write home to mom about.

As for my crafts and art and writing...I've done a little bit here and there. Not as much as I should or want to do. Just haven't had it in me. COVID Depression and all that jazz.

Now....there is one goal that I did FINALLY reach. I've been wanting this since I was a wee little thing. It happened on the 16th of Dec. (those who have me on FB or Twitter or Instagram probably already know)....but BF is no longer a BF. He is now my fiance! He proposed FINALLY after 8 long years. LOLLL. I am so excited!!! We are thinking May 28th 2022. We shall see!

Don't mind my goofy face! LOLLL I think I'm funny.

I think that is it for my goal check-up. I am proud of what I did accomplish this year. I could've done more but I am happy with what I did accomplish.

Life Challenge:
I want to get back on the work-out train. I have been bad the last 2 months soooo I need to get back on track.

Audiobook Challenge: Goal is to listen to 30 this year 41!!!! Hot dang! Completed THAT challenge.

2019 Cloak and Dagger Reading Challenge
I had picked the Detective level for this which is 16/25 books. I am at 18. I hit the minimum of the goal! Now I'm gonna try and hit the 25!
Contemporary Romance Challenge: 13 left. No BINGOs so I need to get on this and get at least one Bingo.
Historical Romance Challenge: 12 boxes left. I have one BINGO. WOOT. Hopefully I can get one or two more BINGOs.

Crunch time initiated! I think I am going to try and really focus on my BINGOs. I have some lined up that should fit the categories. I did get off base for a while with these. Can't help myself when there is a book that calls my name ;)

Good luck everyone in the last few weeks of 2019! IT IS CRUNCH TIME!!!!! WE CAN DO IT!

2014 Wrap-Up & Plans for 2015

2014 is already over? What? Huh. That went quickly.

Well, here is my wrap-up of the year:

 Book Read & Reviewed:
83

Movies Watched & Reviewed:
22

Challenges:
Read 80 books - accomplished (yayy!)

Conclusion:
A very good year, especially bookwise. I haven't read that many books in a long, long time. My original book challenge was 60, but I blew past that, so I upped it. Yayy! I am excited for the year coming up. :)

2015 Goals:
Again, I shall do the the Goodreads challenge (I love it), I think I am going to try and get 85. Eeeeeek *fingers crossed* Also, one of peeps from Book Club shared this on the Facebook page and I shall attempt it. Some of them shall be hard, but it shall be fun. I highly recommend everyone gives it a go.

*I will have my favorites of 2014 posted tomorrow. I'm still working on it.
