Summary:
Southern belle Verity Long is back in business—as a ghost hunter. Now all she has to do is visit the town's creepiest mansion and exorcise a family of vengeful spirits. Piece of cake. After all, ghosts love her and need her... that is until she meets the ghosts of Rock Fall mansion. They'll do anything to keep their murderous secrets hidden within the cliff-side fortress—even if that means getting rid of one meddling ghost hunter.

With the entire town skeptical and scrutinizing her every move, Verity struggles to uncover the century-old mystery behind the house. And when she stumbles upon a very fresh, very dead body, she realizes there’s more to it than she ever imagined. With the help of her sexy cop boyfriend, Ellis, and her ghostly gangster sidekick, Frankie, she braves the overgrown gardens, the desolate family cemetery, and the haunted mansion that have been locked away for generations.

Can Verity unearth the truth before she's the next one buried on the deadly grounds?

Review:
Awww Verity. I am so addicted to this series. Took everything I had to wait to move on so I could focus on some other books.

Verity is in business! She is embracing life and becoming an official Ghost Hunter. First job? Visit the town's creepiest mansion and exorcise the family of vengeful ghosts. Seems easy enough until the ghosts there will do anything they can to keep their secrets hidden. Even if that means getting rid of one meddling ghost hunter. Verity struggles to uncover the secrets left behind and help the ghosts find closure. When she stumbles upon a very fresh, very dead body she will realize that there is a lot more to this story than she can imagine. With her cop boyfriend and her ghostly sidekick, she will brave the haunted garden and haunted house.

Always a blast ghost-hunting with Verity! She has a heart of gold and you want the best for her. I'm so glad Verity and Ellis are not hiding their love anymore. Screw what his mother or what the town thinks. I still think she needs to get on a megaphone and tell the world about the injustice she had to face!

We didn't get to see too much of Frankie this time around. He was too busy living it up with his old ghost pals. Made me sad, but even ghosts deserve some time to unwind.

The mystery was GOOD! I had no idea who did what and why. And the solution? Woah! That was clever indeed.

Same narrator as before. She is really good. She did get a little too much into it at one scary moment. It was a touch cheesy this time around for me. But overall she killed it as per usual. She does all the voices were perfect.

In the end, I really enjoyed this one. The mystery was mysterious and I couldn't wait to see everything revealed. The characters are fun. I would've liked more Frankie time. But yessssss read the series. I advise at least reading the others first to get some of the background story. The shorts are equally good, but not required to read the series. 4 stars from me for this one. Can't wait to get started on the next one!
