Summary:
Maybe it was the Shenanigans gift certificate that put her over the edge. When children's librarian and self-professed nice girl Jane Jameson is fired by her beastly boss and handed twenty-five dollars in potato skins instead of a severance check, she goes on a bender that's sure to become Half Moon Hollow legend. On her way home, she's mistaken for a deer, shot, and left for dead. And thanks to the mysterious stranger she met while chugging neon-colored cocktails, she wakes up with a decidedly unladylike thirst for blood.

Jane is now the latest recipient of a gift basket from the Newly Undead Welcoming Committee, and her life-after-lifestyle is taking some getting used to. Her recently deceased favorite aunt is now her ghostly roommate. She has to fake breathing and endure daytime hours to avoid coming out of the coffin to her family. She's forced to forgo her favorite down-home Southern cooking for bags of O negative. Her relationship with her sexy, mercurial vampire sire keeps running hot and cold. And if all that wasn't enough, it looks like someone in Half Moon Hollow is trying to frame her for a series of vampire murders. What's a nice undead girl to do?

Review:
This was my pick for book club. It was my turn to pick a book I've read before and wanted my folks to read. Decided to relisten...because why not? I loved book 1.

Jane has lost her job and nearly her life. She wakes up as a vamp. And now it looks like someone is trying to frame her for a series of vamp murders in town. What is a girl to do?

Re-reading this and I loved it as much as I did the first time. I did the audio again...because I can't resist. The narrator is perfect! The author and the narrator are an epic duo!

Love Jane. I want her to be my bestie. Same with Zeb. Same with Dick. Love them. I am beginning to appreciate Gabriel more after reading some of the others and even re-reading this. I don't love him. But I have hope.

Gah I hate her granny and her sister. They need to be kicked in the face or something.

This is funny and cute and just plain fun. I loved re-reading it. It makes me want to finish up the series soon!!

In the end, I def recommend it. 5 stars again from me.

This whole series is so fun. I love how the author created the world with 4 Jane books, and then spun it off to include all of the town. So fun. We need more!
