TMST: Middle-Grade Books

Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post where bloggers discuss a wide range of topics from books and blogging to life in general. Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the question and answer it on your blog. 8/9 Do you read middle-grade books? Why or why not?

Whelp. I don't really. I may grab books that are suitable for middle schoolers like the Harry Potter books or the Hobbit or etc. Not that I hate this level of reading, but I have always leaned towards books like YA or adult books even when I was small. One of my first full-length novels was Papillon by Henri Charriere. I think I was 9 or 10 when I grabbed that from the shelf and there was no going back.

There are some good ones, but I don't go out of my way to read them.

I don't, it's not really my genre.

The few fantasy I have read are good, less angsty and love triangles lol

I forgot that HP is MG... I did read those a few times over! But other than that, nothing since my kids were that age.

Jen, it's easy to forget. HP and books like that are beloved by everyone.
