REVIEW:
OMIGOSH! I was scared to watch the movie for many, many reasons....but I am so glad I watched it! SO happy. SO good.

This is based off a book which I read a little bit ago. I felt it was only right to read the book first and then watch the movie. I decided to listen to the audiobook since it was free on Audible (thanks!!).

Now, the movie follows LJ who is not really good at sharing her feelings. To get over a crush, she writes them a letter about WHY they like them and WHY it would never, ever work. She then seals it away in her hat box. Well...things happen and the letters get sent out. *FAINT* If this was the normal life and not HS life...she would be fine. Just ghost the person and avoid it. She has to see the majority of them EVERY DAY for the rest of her HS career. UGH. Poor girl. Things happen and she gets a fake BF to avoid her problems.

I like LJ even though it killed me she didn't confront her emotions head on. However, I can relate to her. I'm not very good at expressing my feelings when it comes to love or whatever. It sucks. I get it.

I loved, loved, LOVED Peter. He was so much better here. Book Peter SUCKED. Book and Movie Josh sucks. Ugh. He's so pathetic. Sorry - I am NOT a Josh fan. TEAM PETER!! *cheers* Don't get me wrong...he does do a couple dumb things still....but he is a boy....soo what do you expect ;)

There was a lot that was better in the movie than in the book. I feel like we really got to explore more scenes in the book, but the movie did a good job with the emotions. If that makes sense at all.

I'm glad they made Kitty a hair older and less catty and bitchy. The book version needed a slap. There was ONE thing I wish they hadn't changed about Kitty...the book had it right I felt. I shall not say! I mean...it worked with this edited Kitty...soooo I guess it is okay. I guess I'm cherry-picking. LOL.

The ending made me cheer for joy. SO good. Please do not make a sequel. It ended perfectly. It makes me dread the second book in the series now...ugh.

In the end, I really adored the movie. I want to re-watch it!!!!! So good! In some ways, it was way better than the book. In some ways, it lacked. Overall though? I think the movie wins by a hair since I actually liked Peter. I'll give this 5 stars. Even with the minor little things to complain and poke a stick at...I adored this movie.

The premise totally captivates me. Private diary-like letters getting in the wild. What a nightmare for her! It looks cute, too.

Glad you loved the adaption and the book.
