REVIEW:
Movie 1 was Thor. I have always had a soft spot for Thor. Not sure why. He isn't my favorite hero, but I do adore him.

Here we follow Thor who has to enlist his friends and his ex to help take down Gorr the God Butcher who is wreaking havoc.

This was fun. It can totally be a standalone movie. They do a good job giving a quick synopsis of some of the other films. Which I appreciate because I am def not up to date. I think I watched the last Thor one but it has been a while. But yes, def a good one for even casual fans like me.

Oh, Jane. Poor Jane. Poor Thor. This one def brought some tears to my eyes! That ending. EEE! But I did "jump" for joy in that final scene (you know...the final FINAL one at the end of the credits). Still sad, but it eased the pain.

I am bummed. That baddie is certainly a tough baddie and I figured we'd get at least two movies. I remember him being TOUGHER. I think this baddie needed two movies.

This was fun. It had all the emotions. Joy, sadness, laughs, and sorrow. Of course...action-packed. The baddie needed more screen time and maybe another movie.

In the end, I'll give it 4 stars.

REVIEW:
This was the second movie for our drive-in double-date.

Here we have Doctor Strange who has to team up and protect a mysterious girl from his dreams. It seems she can jump multiverses. There is a threat that will pull apart the multiverses.

Dang...this just got right into it. First his action-packed dream. And then a small interlude to a wedding and boom...right into the drama and action. I was a little shocked. I was hoping for a few more minutes at the wedding or more of a build-up? Something?

Right into the fire as they say...we had a lot of action and fighting right away. The threat and the "baddie" was made pretty clear, pretty quickly. And certainly dangerous and....you can't help but feel for that character (no spoilers from me).

We have some multiverses that we journey to. I would've liked to see them interact with a couple more. We mainly stay in one or two. I think it would've been cool to see more of the "cartoon" world. lol.

I am very, very disappointed in how easily and how quickly our baddie destroyed the Illuminati of one of the multiverses. My defense is that they are weaker, but it still was such a quick fight and it was over. What a sham. I was so excited and it was over and they barely put up a fight. I know hubby was pissed off.

The ending was fantastic. I loved how the issue was resolved. That scene where they showed the baddie something. Damn. That was clever and probably the ONLY way they could resolve the issue.

In the end, this had a lot of action and it was fun. I am hugely disappointed in the Illuminati scenes. It was a bummer. I also wish we were eased more into the action. Maybe a longer wedding scene? Or a few scenes of them hopping around more multiverses? IDK. There weren't a lot of breaks for the viewer. But yes, the fights were cool. The premise was cool. The baddie was scary and perfect. The resolution? Perfect. Doctor Strange was a badass doing what he did. I'll give this 3.

I am a Thor lover, but haven't watched this one yet. Dr. Strangelove never grabbed me.

Yay for getting to go to a drive-in. I wanna go, now. :)

Love me some Thor. And I've always been neutral on Dr Strange. I adore the actor tho. And omg I need to go more often. So much fun!

I was also disappointed in Dr. Strange. But oh well. Thor was pretty good. He's like your best buddy rather than an untouchable hero. I missed the humor from the third movie, but this one was still good. I'm really excited to see Wakanda Forever and start Phase 5 of the MCU next year.
