REVIEW:
Finally got to watch this! I wanted to go see this at the movie theater but no one wanted to go. Boo.

The movie follows three girls who are randomly kidnapped by a man. Come to find out this man has some serious issues. He has 23 personalities in his head and they are all scared of one who seems to be coming soon to make 24.

This is just a crazy, crazy idea. Unique for sure and scary! One....this guy is nuts and who knows what personalty will emerge. Two.....ummmm what the heck do you want with these girls? I felt bad for the girls. Especially Casey. She has some demons already and does she really need this?? Gah.

I was really scared of him but a part of me felt SO bad for him too. He obviously needs serious help and needs to be locked away until he gets everyone under control. Such a weird complex character for sure!

My one and only beef was the slightly supernatural-ish bits at the end. That bothered me. Can't pinpoint why. Maybe it was because it took away from that psychological fear? I won't go into more detail because it is a huuuuuuge spoiler if I do.

I also felt like I missed the big reference at the end....I think I'll have to watch the other movies to get it. BF had to explain it to me.

The cast was great. The actor who played our 23/24 personalities did an amazing job. Honestly, he deserved an Oscar. You could tell right away which personality was out. Granted we really only got to see 8 people. But that is still A LOT of people to act out and barely change what you are wearing.

Overall, I really liked this film. I am tempted to see the movies that tie into this world. The supernatural-ish aspect didn't sit well with me, but maybe if I see the other movies I will change my mind. I'll give this 3 stars.

I can see why it would give you the creeps and stir up sympathy for you. I always feel a late hint of magic or woo woo in a book or movie is cheating when they change the rules like that. :)

I want to know the supernatural bit now!
Also, poor guy, I has to have some good ones in there, among the psycho ones

Sophia, I agree. I am unsure. I am on the fence.
