REVIEW:
A random watch that my friend really suggested we watch. I went into this movie not even reading the summary. Why? Well...why not? Sometimes it is like reading a book based on randomness and the cover.

Well...the story follows Will and his new gf. They are invited to his ex-wife's dinner party. She wants to have this party to bring all these old friends together mixed with some new faces including her weird new hubbie/boyfriend/whatever (I honestly can't remember). She wants to rekindle an old group of pals that were torn apart because of a tragedy. A good idea in theory...but something is SERIOUSLY wrong. Something unsettling and it is tearing Will apart.

Yes, yes. There was something seriously wrong. It was so unsettling and it was annoying as hell that no one else could feel this. There was a moment of hope for one character, but god knows what happened to this character. If I was at this dinner party I would've left after that creepy guy arrived at the party. Nope. He was a creeper for sure.

This film was not your typical horror film. I would like to say this is a psychological thriller, but that doesn't fit well either. At first, I was not horrified until hours after finishing this film. I went over the ending in my head over and over and I was terrified. Just...what?

The ending was brilliant indeed. The whole slow beginning and part of the middle was worth it. Yes, just be warned the beginning and part of the middle was a slow build-up that was unsettling and frustrating.

I can't say much else without spoiling and taking away from the film.

This was a good watch to watch with someone else. There are a lot of lulls that allow you to think and even talk out loud. This is for sure a movie to watch with someone else. Interesting and risky to do all these lulls. I honestly think it mostly worked, but there were some bits that should've been cut out.

Overall, a good one. The ending terrified me because where do you go from there? Can't say much else, but some lulls that worked and some that didn't. You will be unsettled, but don't worry...you are meant to. Watch it. 4 stars.
