Book Review: Candy and the Cankersaur by Jason Sandberg

Author: Jason Sandberg
Title: Candy and the Cankersaur
Genre: Picture book & Child's book
Pages: ebook
First Published: 2012
Where I Got It: My shelf (Given to me by the author/publisher for my honest and unbiased opinion)

This is the sweet and funny tale of a young girl named Candy and a Cankersaurus Rex! Candy receives a dinosaur as a gift and is determined to train him to be a good pet.

Even though I do not have children, I loved children's books! I always like finding ones that my friends' kids would like. It always exciting when a publisher/author ask me to review these kid books! It takes me right back to my childhood and reminds me of all the little kid books I read!

This was a quick read, of course, but it was cute. Even though I am scared of dinosaurs, this dino seems cool to me. I would have loved to have him as pet!

Gah. Chucky needed a grounding! What a snotball. At least he made up for it at the end.

I loved the drawings that went along with this story! It was totally old school and it made me happy. It took me right back to my childhood. Some of the cartoons/drawing nowadays is too much. Simple sometimes is the best...especially in this case.

I highly recommend this child book to those that are looking for a nice story for their child. I would recommend the ages 4-8 on this one. :) Its cute and short. My favorite was the drawings - just for the fact they reminded me of the children's books of my youth. Out of five stars, I stamp this with 4. :)

This one sounds and looks like a winner :) I wish my son would still be the right age for it... Still, I'll keep it in mind for my niece and nephew. Great review.
