Summary:
In a world that denies emotions, where the ruling Psy punish any sign of desire, Sascha Duncan must conceal the feelings that brand her as flawed. To reveal them would be to sentence herself to the horror of "rehabilitation"--the complete psychic erasure of everything she ever was...

Both human and animal, Lucas Hunter is a Changeling hungry for the very sensations the Psy disdain. After centuries of uneasy coexistence, these two races are now on the verge of war over the brutal murders of several Changeling women. Lucas is determined to find the Psy killer who butchered his packmate, and Sascha is his ticket into their closely guarded society. But he soon discovers that this ice-cold Psy is very capable of passion--and that the animal in him is fascinated by her. Caught between their conflicting worlds, Lucas and Sascha must remain bound to their identities--or sacrifice everything for a taste of darkest temptation...

Review:
Super back-peddling and starting with book 1. I had read Silver Silence  which is technically book 16 but book 1of another series that stems from this one. I was advised to check this one and then I magically found it at my library while scrolling their ebook selection. Huzzah.

So, the Psy rule with an emotionless fist. They will eliminate any of their kind that are deemed defective or different. Sascha has been hiding her flaws for years. She has been cracking but its controlled for now....until she meets Lucas Hunter who is a Changeling. Centuries of uneasy coexistence are starting to crack too and war is possible. Lucas is determined to find the Psy serial killer who has killed many woman. Sascha is his ticket to that guarded world. He soon discovers that he wants her and even though she is Psy...she wants him too.

This was good. No....awesome. I flew through this!!! I could hardly put it down. The romance had me on edge. JUST LOVE EACH OTHER! And I wanted that murderer found and for the most recent victim to be found alive. FIND HER AND KILL THAT EVIL PSY!

I'm glad I did backtrack. I feel like I got to better understand our world. It was like an introduction in a way. We really got to see into the PsyNet through Sascha since she is very talented and her powers are really cool. I hope we get to see more like her.

TBH....I was unsure of how everything was going to be ended and how everyone was going to be okay. I was so worried. Yess....I know its a romance and it WILL be fixed....but sighs...I was worried.

Gah. I knew who the murderer was right away....but I had my doubts. I was all NOOOO WAY! So good.

Yes - I want to continue with the story. I am SO far behind, but 'tis okay. :)

Overall, this was really good. I was hooked from page one! I must read more. 5 stars for sure.

YES!! I love this series so much. The first few books were just so amazing b/c I'd never read anything else like them. I still enjoy the series, too.
