The story follows Lyric and Rowan. Lyric is a shifter and Rowan is a member of the Special Forces. Lyric finds herself in trouble and Rowan jumps in to save her, but he accidentally is bitten and joins the supernatural world. 

Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for PNR? This has the ingredients to make an excellent story! It is fresh and different.....but nope. Not for me today.

I tried reading this for nearly 2 weeks and I just couldn't get myself to stay awake. I'll have to try this another day maybe. I do pick one book a year to try again (usually near the holidays bc I love giving second chances and I believe in Xmas miracles). Gah. I hate giving up, but I just couldn't get myself to move forward after chapter 2. 

DNF for now. D: Not for me.
