Cordelia Canton is on a top-secret assignment: travel to Mystic Bayou and use her powers as a touch-know psychic to learn more about the mysterious artifact that's been pulled from the rift site. She's partnered with Brendan O'Connor, a rare male banshee whose tall, dark, and broody good looks are a major distraction. Before long, it becomes clear that the artifact they're studying is sentient - and brimming with supernatural power. Can they harness its magic in time to stop the secret forces conspiring to steal it?

I am lovvvinnnggg this series. This is the most recent one. I hope we get more!

The story follows Cordelia who is hired for a top-secret assignment to use her powers to try and learn more about the mysterious artifact that was pulled from the rift site. She is partnered with Brendan O'Connor who is a rare male banshee who is tall, dark, and brooding. Before long they realized there is more to the artifact. And they seem to be perfect for each other which they did not expect at all.

Awwwwww. this was so fun. I loved Cordelia and Brendan. I wanted them to be happy. They both have powers that make it rough to find love, but together they work.

That twist with the artifact was cool! I liked it. I wonder how that is going to change this world. Same with the ending revelation. WOAH. I hope we get more books because you simply can NOT leave us like this. A whole door was opened now for this world!

Honestly - I think this was my favorite of the series. I had no issues. I loved seeing the old characters and I loved the twist on the Banshee lore. So fun.

The narrators were perfect. I loved Brendan's accent. Perfect!

Overall, SO fun. I encourage reading the other books first, but this was so fun and I loved it. The story. The love. All of it.  Look at me gushing over this ;). I'll stamp this with 5 stars of course.
