This year I have been trying to focus on my TBR list and not take on as many ARCs. I do have a couple though that I am really looking forward to:

2023 TBR Pile Challenge

2023 To Be Read (TBR) Pile Challenge

GOAL: Read 12 books on your TBR shelf. Each of these 12 books must have been on your bookshelf or “To Be Read” list for AT LEAST one full year. This means the book cannot have a publication date of 1/1/2021 or later (any book published in the year 2020 or earlier qualifies, as long as it has been on your TBR pile). Caveat: Two (2) alternates are allowed, just in case one or two of the books end up in the “did not finish (DNF)” pile.

There is no order on my list. I'm a mood reader SO I'll grab whatever I feel like first.

4/12/2022 What book has been sitting on your TBR pile the longest?

Ooooo this is a tough one! I have SOOOOO many books on my TBR list. Like every book lover I know...we collect and collect and can never keep up on what we have. I recently just bought another bookshelf for my office/library ;) 

I'll say I have some William Shakespeare still sitting on my shelf glaring at me. I really need to continue and read more. I've read a lot, but there are still some works I need to read. 

I also have a million (okay not a million) ebooks I have downloaded. 

Ah, yes, I also have dozens of audiobooks I still need to listen to that I was gifted a couple of Xmases ago.

This is a really hard challenge that I am going to attempt! I have SOOOO many books on list. Like VVB, I'm going to be a hair hesitant since I'm a mood reader too. Here are some tentative ones I want to try and read this year.

Tell Me Something Tuesday: Cutting Back that TBR Pile

Have you found a way to cut back significantly on your TBR pile?

Oooo the dreaded TBR pile. So many books....so little time. 

I still have a LOT on my TBR pile, but I have been able to keep it lower than in the past. How? A couple of good reasons:

- If something has sat for sooooo long and I don't own the book, I remove it from the pile. 
- Make a point and case to read at least 1 book a month that has been collecting dust on the pile
- DNFing some of those eh books I've tried more than once
- Not adding more. Simple enough, but when I only have a slight interest...don't add it. 


These are just some tips that have helped me.

How have you learned to keep your TBR pile in check, or how would you like to control your pile?

This question made me chuckle. My TBR pile is a hot mess. So many books, so little time! I have tried to keep it down and stick to reading only books on my piles and lists, but there are so many books that come across my desk. it's hard to ignore them and just stick to my list. 

"Control" is not the right word. I just try to manage it a bit. However, it is a mess and always will be I fear.

Top Ten Tuesday: Springs TBR

Well, nature has tricked me yet again. For like two days we had amazing, spring like weather. Then it rained and now it is....snowing. *sighs* All week is going to be 30s-40s. Maaaaaan, why can't spring JUST be here already? What the heck? It's March for heaven's sake! *sighs* Patience is a virtue.

Anways, for this week I'll be sharing my top ten books that are going to be read this spring. I've been very sporadic with my reading lately and I think its affecting my reading pace. Perhaps this nice solid and concrete list will put me on the right track.
