Tourmaline Larou lives an idyllic life of learning by day and partying by night. An aspiring poet, her future promises nothing less than brilliance.

Then, Vignette Stonemoss walks through the door, and Tourmaline’s world is upended.

As she struggles to understand the effect this stranger has on her, Tourmaline and her fellow fae face a looming threat from the human world. War is on the horizon, and their very existence is at stake.

And Tourmaline will discover whether love will save her - or destroy her.

Haven't watched the show yet, but I couldn't resist grabbing this up and listening to it.

The story follows Tourmaline who lives an idyllic life of being a student during the day and partying at night. She wants to be a poet and more then what she is. Vignette becomes her new roommate and at first they seem so different but there seems to be something there. As Tourmaline weeds through her feelings for Vignette, the world is facing a looming threat from the human world. War looms over all.

I want to know more about this world. I guess I'll have to watch the show then. Darn those humans. Why do we always suck????? Ugh.

I wasn't a huge fan of Tourmaline or even Vignette at first. I grew to like Tourmaline even though I wanted to shake her. So dumb. But she is young and rich so she is naive. Vignette I felt bad for, but she made me mad especially near the end.

Hopefully there is more of Tourmaline. I want more of her story. Honestly, it was too open-ended for my liking. What happens next???? YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME THUS!

The narrator was fun. I liked her a lot and would listen to more. She really made these characters come to life.

Overall, I did like this. I want more of the world and maybe more of these characters. The ending was too open-ended for my liking, but I have hope there will be more. The narrator was excellent. I'll stamp this with 3 stars overall.

Melliane, I know this falls into the world. Not sure if any of the characters from here go there.
