Another Amazon freebie AND it is a short story, so it was a quick read. It was also nice to see this one because I have heard of this series and I have been a wee bit interested in checking out, so finding this free prequel was a nice taste.
I am now really curious and I want to read book 1.
The story follows Annie and Claire. Annie comes to Claire's store to find a crystal and some sort of distraction from her sad life. Claire is not only a store owner, but she is a witch as well.
A ghost comes to Claire and Annie asking for help to solve a murder mystery of his true love. Claire can't help but help and Annie can't help but assist.
This was certainly a good mystery and I was curious how they would solve the mystery and save the poor victim. I guessed who did it, but I was in doubt since it seemed not likely, but I was right and that made me happy.
Yes, this was quick, but I didn't feel like I was robbed of the story. It was just long enough, but still short to read in one sitting.
In the end, I enjoyed this quick a bit and now I want to read more of Claire's story and adventures. I stamp this with 5 stars.
