REVIEW:
I decided to give this movie another try, because last time I did not finish this. I'm an open-minded gal, so I wanted to give this movie another chance, because someday I was thinking on re-reading the book and giving it another chance (it was a DNF as well).
However.......I wasted an hour of my life....again....sighs.
Why, why, oh why?! I love all three of the actors soooooooooooo much! Especially the drool-worthy Eric Bana. Nom. Now...if he was Henry VIII, I wouldn't mind losing my head for him. :3
Anyways....the acting was good, I won't lie. However, the rest of the film was a hot mess. I really wish that they made their own script and didn't follow the book. Granted, I didn't finish the book, but from what I've read - they followed pretty well with he book.
Especially with one scene. >_______> Just like the first time I watched it, it made me horribly angry and want to throw something at the screen. It was so historically incorrect (which I am usually okay with normally, but this...no) that I wanted to scream and give the writers and author a nice history lesson. I get creative licenses and all that jazz, but there is a fine-line.
In the end, I still did not finish this movie - I got further, but still...nope. Done. I am moving onto the next movie. I would not recommend this movie to people who don't know the real history, but for those who are bored and want to see an odd twist to the history of Henry and Anne. I shall stamp this with 1 star.
Favorite Character(s): ....okay...I did warm up to Mary a little bit
Not-so Favorite Character(s): Pretty much all of them
Re-watch?: No....I gave it a second try, so I don't feel bad not liking it now.

I saw this one years ago but I'm sorry to see you had a bad time with it. I don't remember a lot of it but I don't think I dislike it. It was ok for me.
Good thing I have not watched it then
Melliane, its okay...:( better luck next movie. lol
B, hahaha I would avoid it.
A shame about the movie - but I did enjoy the book. Cheers from Carole's Chatter!
What can you do ya know?
I watched this one and I have to agree - it was one of the worst his-fic drama movies I've ever seen. Eric Bana didn't work for me as Henry VIII and don't let me even start rambling about historical accuracy or rahter lack thereof. The whole thing was seriously messed up.
I just think Eric Bana is a sex god. hahaha but thank you for agreeing with me! It made me want to pull my hair out!
