Review:
Randomly stumbled upon this on Amazon. Been meaning to read more of the shorts/novellas in between the main books. They are always fun.

Here we follow Jim and Dali. Jim is the Alpha Pack leader. He is normally strong and for sure the silent type. However, something has come over him and he needs help from Dali who has a flair for magic. Dali has been crushing on Jim for a while and always wanted his attention...now she has it but not in the way she wanted. She will face some seriously powerful and dark magic in order to save Jim...and herself.

It was fun learning more about Jim. I also loved getting to know Dali. I do wish we could get more time with them. There is a book 2 down the line and I'm curious to get my hands on it.

Now, I will admit it took a few pages for me to get invested in these two. Not sure why. Maybe I'm just so used to Kate and Andrea at this point. But once I was invested I could not stop reading.

The baddie was certainly bad (you do feel a hair of remorse) and what a cool baddie! No spoilers from me! The solution was pretty epic. Dali may not be as strong or tough as Kate and Andrea but she can kick ass. I hope we see more of her later on. Dali compares herself to the too, but she is strong in her own magical way which I loved. I love a good kickass gal, but can't help but love witty and powerful gals too.

Overall, this was fun and quick. I want to see more of Jim and Dali. They are good characters. Took me a minute to get invested, but once I was...I was absolutely hooked. I'll give this 4 stars.

I always liked the novellas - they add to the series, but you don't need to read them to stay up with the series. Fun times! I love Dali.
