Summary:
A showrunner and her assistant give the world something to talk about when they accidentally fuel a ridiculous rumor in this debut romance.

Hollywood powerhouse Jo is photographed making her assistant Emma laugh on the red carpet, and just like that, the tabloids declare them a couple. The so-called scandal couldn't come at a worse time--threatening Emma's promotion and Jo's new movie.

As the gossip spreads, it starts to affect all areas of their lives. Paparazzi are following them outside the office, coworkers are treating them differently, and a "source" is feeding information to the media. But their only comment is "no comment".

With the launch of Jo's film project fast approaching, the two women begin to spend even more time together, getting along famously. Emma seems to have a sixth sense for knowing what Jo needs. And Jo, known for being aloof and outwardly cold, opens up to Emma in a way neither of them expects. They begin to realize the rumor might not be so off base after all...but is acting on the spark between them worth fanning the gossip flames?

Review:
This was a recommendation after I finished a different book. Seen this at the library but had to wait a bit for it to come back. The audio came back first so I decided to go that route.

The story follows Jo and Emma. Jo is a Hollywood powerhouse and Emma is her assistant. They give everyone something to talk about when Jo has Emma come with her on the red carpet and it seemed they were WAY closer than employee and employer. As the gossip spreads, it starts affecting all areas of their lives. Nothing is happening, but their only comment is "no comment". With the launch of Jo's new film project, the two must begin to spend even more time together. Maybe the gossip isn't wrong?

This was adorable. Cute. Fun. I literally LOVE Emma and Jo. You can spot the chemistry WAY before they even slightly get a whiff of it...which was fun but annoying.

I wanted to kick both of them!!! They are SO obviously made for each other. Sighs. It takes forever for them to realize it and then finally act upon their feelings. Gah! I would've loved more time of them and their HEA.

The plot seemed stuck and Jo and Emma made the same mistakes over and over. No communication...no real progression with their relationship. Anytime they did take a step forward they would FLY backward. SIGHS.

OooooOOoooo that ending though was so sweet and adorable. I just wanted it sooner. They deserved it.

Now...the narration. Jo's voice was perfect!! The voice for Emma seemed a little off. Personally, she sounded way too young and bubbly. I get it...there is a pretty big age gape between the two, but I feel like the voice sounded like a 16-year-old girl instead of a 20-something-year-old professional.

In the end, I did like this. Some issues, but this was cute and adorable overall. I'll give this 3 stars.
