Review:
Trying to read this series right or as right as I can.

Anna Latham never knew that werewolves existed until the night she was turned against her will. After being at the bottom of the Chicago pack for three years, she discovers wrongdoing in her pack and now she has to get brave and end it. She calls the leader of the North American werewolves and asks for help. Charles Cornick is the son and enforcer of the leader. He is sent to Chicago to clean up the problems there and protect Anna. He never expected to find out that she is a rare Omega wolf and that she is his mate.

I'm so glad I decided to read this. I cheated and read a few pages of book 1 of the series and I was soooooo confused. You really do have to read this short story first. It sets the stage for book 1.

Can I just swoon over Charles???? *drools* Love him. He is so sweet and so alpha and so badass. Andddd so hawt. Anna is luckily! ;)

Speaking of Anna...poor girl. She has a lot to recover from. She was so abused that dang pack. GRRRR screw them! I see she will have a lottttttt of things to deal with in the future.

Even though this was a short story there was a LOT of content here and I couldn't listen fast enough. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. So fun. So good.

Now.....I liked the narrator..ish. I liked all the voices except for Charles' voice. I really didn't think it fit well.

Overall, I enjoyed this but I am glad I read this. You need to read before you start book 1. I have the ebook so I will go that route because I was not crazy about the narrator's take on Charles' voice. 3 stars from me.

He is the narrator for the series. I remember not loving his voice for Charles, but overall liking his performance. Then around the 4th book, I think, we all noticed he changed his Charles. Anyhow, the books are amazing and best if integrated with the Mercy books, but they don't have to be.
