Tell Me Something Tuesday: Favorite Surprise Books of the Year

Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post on Rainy Day Ramblings where Rainy discuss a wide range of topics from books to blogging. Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the question and answer it on your blog.

What were your favorite surprise books of the year?

I've had a couple books that surprised me in a good way.

First, 'Barely a Bride' by Rebecca Hagan Lee. I thought I would barely enjoy this, but I ended up loving it. It certainly took me by surprise. The next one in the series was just okay, but this was good cheesy cover and all.

'White Lies' by Susan Barrett is next. Simple, boring, and bleh cover. The story sounded decent, but then when I started reading and I couldn't stop reading it! So good, so sad. I didn't expect it to be so sad either. Which it made it even better. Pleasantly surprised.

I haven't read either of those, but the covers certainly wouldn't have grabbed my eye. I'm glad you enjoyed them.

Melliane, I love being surprised in a good way!

B, I 100% agree. Maybe it has by now.

Carol, agreed. That is why I was so surprised they were so good!
