SUMMARY:
When the kingdom's most wanted-and most charming-bandit Flynn Rider hides out in a mysterious tower, he's taken hostage by Rapunzel, a beautiful and feisty tower-bound teen with 70 feet of magical, golden hair. Flynn's curious captor, who's looking for her ticket out of the tower where she's been locked away for years, strikes a deal with the handsome thief and the unlikely duo sets off on an action-packed escapade, complete with a super-cop horse, an over-protective chameleon and a gruff gang of pub thugs.

The tale of Rapunzel has never been my favorite fairy-tale. I can't tell you why, but it just never spoke to me at all. I thought it was silly her parents could never find her in a tower SO high up. IDK. But I digress...so due to this I avoided this Disney for 5 years. I just could never get myself to watch it. Then I heard one of the songs from the movie and I realized I needed to give this movie a shot. 

I am pounding my head against the wall for my idiocy of avoiding this movie.

I LOVED IT!

I loved the story, the characters, the message, and the songs. I especially liked Flynn. I'm glad they made him not princely. That was a shocker for me! Normally the man is a prince charming and is the perfect gentleman. Flynn does prove himself later on, but he is a total selfish snot who just wants the crown to make a lot of money. I'm glad it took a while for him to change his ways due to falling in love. Yes, love is the cure in this movie for this character, but hell....something extreme had to happen for him to change his ways.

I am bloody surprised I liked Mandy Moore being the voice! She is an alright actress, but she is nothing special in my book. Her voice annoys me, so I was expecting a headache...but she did a good job! I can proudly say I did not have to use any Tylenol during this movie like I have had to do in the past with other Many Moore movies. Her voice. GAH!

D'awwwwwwwe, the little chameleon was amazing. Boyfriend says that he is scared of the chameleon, "He seems like a ruthless killer." hahahaha, but he is CUTE! But...my question is...how did she get this animal???!! Her "mother" sure as hell didn't get it for her and it doesn't seem like a natural creature for the world. Hmmmm

The only thing I wish that was different was the length of the journey. It seemed really quick. I wish that was longer, so Flynn and Rep had more chance to get together. Also, I wish that "mother" didn't find out that Rep was gone so soon. 

All-in-all, I think this is one of the best Disney movies in the last few years. It reminded me a lot of the older ones. It had that 90s charm, but it still managed to be fresh and modern. Especially the character of Flynn; he was not at all your typical hero. I highly recommend this to Disney fans. I know this will be on the list of movies for my future kids. Out of five stars, I stamp this with 5 stars.

Re-watch?: YESSSSS! I've already watched it 3 times. Twice by myself and then I made boyfriend watch it.
