Review:

Took a little break from the series for numerous of reasons but it is time to finish up this series. I am going to have a hard time saying goodbye.  

The story continues with Jess' journey to find Faison who was taken through the Tear. They land in a very similar world to theirs, but it is completely different at the same time. Along the way of finding her sister, she discovers God had more for her to do. When they get back through the Tear she is given another assignment to try and turn Lucifer back to good. Will she and her friends survive? 

It was nice revisiting our gang. Even though its been a while, it was easy to slip back into the story. I did have to read the other blurbs and my reviews to remind myself. This does okay as a standalone, but you'll be missing a lot of back story. At least read book 2. 

This felt calmer (after they get back from the Tear and that crazy other world) and not as filled to brim with drama or action. It was nice...but it makes me worried. 

Jess and Mason take their relationship to the next level in this one. It was nice to see them fall more in love...BUT I do worry. There was a lot of smexy time here and it seemed to eclipse the story sometimes. Yes, I do worry for the next book.

Oh Lucifer....I want him to turn so badly and come back to the good side. He's a fun character and like Jess....I oddly like him even though he is a baddie. King of the baddies at that BUT there is an ounce of good in that body. 

I am anxious to start the next and final book of the series. I worry for our characters. We have lost some along the way and I have a feeling not everyone is going to survive the final book. SOBS! 

Again, no issues with the narrator. She is awesome and I especially love her Lucifer voice. It's not what you would typically expect but it is a fun take. 

In the end, this was calmer. More of a transition in a way. We get to see some character and relationship developments in this one which is nice, but sometimes I felt like it was too calm and that the smexy scenes slowed the story down sometimes. It was a nice break in a way...but I worry for the last book. I'll give this 3 stars.

There are a lot of things I like to try and do when I am not blogging. But fun things? Mmmm. 

I read...of course! I also love watching my shows and listening to music. Funny cat videos or Fail videos are a blast. Movies are fun, but I have a hard time sitting in one place for too long lately. 

Animal Crossing New Horizons have taken up a lot of my hours in my life. I'm also now addicted to Overcooked 2 which I beat the main plot and now I'm playing the extra maps. BF and I love playing World War Z together. I just finished Pokemon Shield not too long ago. Sure there are extra things to do, but I beat the main plot and whatnot and I'm good for now. 

Let's see.....Oooo I also love painting or crafting! I'm not great like my mom is, but I enjoy it. I used to write a lot, but I haven't really written anything in months. D: 

I love hanging out with my friends. Been doing less of that because of COVID. But we still make a point to safely hang out once in a while. For instance we had a mini Halloween party on Friday. Not too many people and a big space. 

Baking is another love of mine. I love trying new recipes. For that Halloween party, I made sea salt caramel, chocolate chip, and pretzel cookies. SOOOOOO good. Nom!

That is about all I can think of right now.

Holt is working on his family farm, his parents are living it up in Florida, and he is just a really nice guy. Like really nice.

They meet. She is reluctant. He is nice and helpful. They fall for each other. The drama is that she should go back to her family for her inheritance. I mean can't she deal with the family company and live in the US? Yes I just did not understand her issues.

I mean I liked it, but I so did not understand Claire's issues, like boohoo, I am rich

I liked the narrator. She was great and I liked how she voiced it. So she made it worth it

Review:

 I was offered to read the English version of this and when I seen the cover and read the synopsis, I was hooked. I had to check it out. 

The story follows Doris Rose who is the daughter of an English oligarch who cannot forget the young man who stole her heart years ago. The two are torn apart because of her parents. Time goes by but a miracle will happen. He has become one of the richest men in England and she has walked away from her parents and their wealth to make a name for herself and earn her own way in the world. Will the two find each other and finally stay together? Or will wealth and hatred keep them apart. 

This was short, but it worked for the story.

I did feel the beginning dragged a little bit. It took a couple of chapters for me to really become invested in our characters. However, after a certain event, I became hooked and had to know how it was all going to end! 

Poor young love! I felt for them. I GET that her parent's didn't want her to marry a poor person and they didn't fully trust him or think he was good enough....but....c'mon guys...let them love each other.

The world can cruel...especially because of society and the stupid rules. We know they will find love eventually and someday, but I was so nervous because I had no idea how they were going to put aside their differences and find each other again. 

This is inspired by Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice' but it is its own story. There are some parallels here and there but on a whole the characters and story have a different path. I liked how the author did this. You can see the parallels scattered around, but this was a fresh of breath air for me. I enjoyed it!

I LOVED the last scene of the story. It brought a little tear of joy to my eye. It was a wonderful way to end the story. 

All-in-all, I really did enjoy this. The beginning was a little slow in pulling me in, BUT once I was hooked I was indeed hooked and could NOT put this down. I'll give this 4 stars.
