Loving this author's stuff! Couldn't wait to check this one out. 

Louisa sees herself as beautiful, selfless, fun, and a true guide to her family. Her family is less inclined to agree with this description. They see her as interfering, annoying, pushy, rude, and completely spoiled. When secrets start bubbling to the surface, Louisa and her family have a lot of choices to make. Will Louise make things right before they go even more wrong?

OOOOoooOOOooooOOOooo Louisa. I wanted to smack her silly. She reminds me a little bit of my to-be MIL. She is so blinded to her flaws and how her family truly perceive her. She is a big jerk sometimes. I honestly had a hard time even remotely liking her until near the end. Sure...I found her funny and entertaining, but I was on her kids' side. Not a fan. Sure...she went through some stuff and she really does believe she is doing what is best for all, BUT GAH. Some of the things she said and did. Boy oh boy. 

There was a lot of humor and I'm sure we can all relate to some of the family issues here in some way shape or form. It was fun seeing all the secrets come to life and seeing all the family drama unfold. 

The ending was great! I enjoyed seeing everything come together. I won't spoil anything ;) But it was good and it made me happy. 

This was quick and fun. I was able to finish it in just a couple of a sittings! 

Overall, I loved watching everything bubble and see everyone coup and just talk. Louisa was for sure....interesting...and I liked seeing her and her family's journey. For sure worth the read. I'll give this 4 stars. 

Book Review: You, Me and Other Stuff by L.M. Barrett

I could not resist picking this up and reading it! I enjoyed a previous book by this author and this just sounded so good. 

The story follows Declan and Sarah. They have been friends for years and have been in love but didn't really know it. Years pass and now Declan is held hostage and it is Sarah's fault. Will they get it figured out and finally end up together? 

Oooooo Declan and Sarah. I wanted to shake them and kick them. You love each other! But they don't realize it and make stupid, stupid decisions that end up blowing up in each others' faces. Especially Sarah's. Girl! NO!

I did really enjoy this even though the two drove me bananas. There was some humor and sadness. It was a nice balance of those things. Wonderful writing! Hooks you in from page one.  

The format of telling the story was fun and I didn't expect it. It worked well for these characters to tell others about their sides of their story. They needed to talk it out with others I think in order to get some perspective. 

My only issue was the bits with Lisa near the end there. I didn't hate her but I sure didn't like her. I also feel like her part made the story go a bit longer then I wanted. I could be biased because I just wanted the two knuckleheads to FINALLY get it and be together, but yea...not a fan of Lisa and her part. 

Besides that, I really enjoyed this story. I wanted to shake our main characters, but shake them with love. And I didn't really care about the Lisa bits. I'll give this 4 stars. Really good and a fun story. Humor and sadness all mixed in. 

Book Review: A Reflection of Sophie Beaumont

When a devastated Richard Beaumont returns home one evening to find out that his beautiful, happy wife Sophie has committed suicide it sends him on a journey to unravel the mystery of why someone with a seemingly perfect life would do such a thing. 

He discovers deep and dark secrets from her past and present that he would have rather left uncovered. Does what he find out eventually lead him to agree with her suicide note, that the love of his life deserved it? 

Follow the twists and turns in Sophie's life as we learn the real reason for her demise.

Been a while since a book made me produce real tears. This was just so tragic every way you looked at it. 

The story follows Richard and Sophie. Richard just came home from a business trip to find his wife had killed herself. He is shocked because she seemed so happy all the time. He decides to find out the truth and why she decided to end it all and leave a tragic note that says that she deserved it. 

We get to discover more and more about Sophie's dark past. We even get to learn more than what Richard learns which made me sad. She did some horrible things and went through horrible things. I don't think she deserved to die though. At least...like that. So terrible. 

This book really makes you think as well as feel. One, you really don't know someone's past. Two, you should be honest to the one you love and to yourself. A lot of this could've been avoided if Sophie had been a hair more honest to Richard. He could've helped her. Avoided this tragic end. 

I felt so bad for everyone involved...even Andre a hair. Every way you look at this story is a tragedy. The kids...the poor kids. 

My only issue was the ending. Why? I wanted Richard to have it so bad. Maybe there will be a sequel out there? Or a short story with Richard getting it? I can't what the IT is...but it drove me insane. 

In the end, I really enjoyed this. The characters were intriguing and the story was good. Well....sad...but done well. I do not think Sophie deserved her death even though she did horrible things and experienced horrible things. She really needed help. Poor everyone. I'll stamp this with 4 stars.
