Review:

Eeeekkkk I've been saving this for around Xmas time. I even wanted to wait longer, but I couldn't resist. I am so sad this series is done. :( 

Jayne Frost is getting married to Sinclair. Time is ticking and she is stressed. Weddings are not fun planning. Things get a little more hairy when they discover a body in the wedding carriage. Will this derail the wedding or can they find out who this body is and who killed them? 

Yayyyyy Jayne is finally getting hitched! I was Team what-his-bucket, but I can't even remember his name anymore (literally) so I guess that means I'm Team Sinclair now. haha. They are really perfect for each other and I have grown to adore him. He's a sweetie and really does Jayne some good.

Poor girl. I'm in the midst of planning my wedding and it is a pain the romp. I can't even begin to imagine if I had to plan a BIGGER wedding that will be witnessed by the whole (well - supernatural) world. *shudders* I am so glad she got Birdie to come and help. Birdie is perfect. 

Now...the mystery was easily solved and the killer was found quickly. Thank you Sinclair! I was hoping for more trouble and issues. There was something near the end, but that was easily resolved too. 

However, I am torn....I'm glad we got to focus a lot on the wedding and Jayne meeting Sinclair's parents (finally). That reveal about his mom was a shocker!! Won't give any spoilers away. ;) 

Sighssss I am so sad. I want more of Jayne and this world. Maybe someday? Maybe one of Jayne's friends will get some spotlight?? This world is so much fun. Sighhhssss my poor heart is shattered. Wah!

The narrator was fantastic OF course. She did the majority of the series (I think the short story about Birdie had someone else) and she was perfect. Her voices fit to a T. 

Overall, I am saddened that this series has come to a close, but I enjoyed the journey of Jayne. I loved watching her come into her own. Grow up and get married. I hope to see more of her someday. I'm a hair bummed the mystery was easily solved, but I am also glad we got to focus on Jayne and Sinclair planning the wedding and getting married. Soooo I am torn! I'll go ahead and give this a 4. Not a bad way to end the series.

Review:

Eeeek. I couldn't stop myself. I wanted to save this for closer to Xmas, but I needed to hear Jayne. 

Jayne takes her maybe-fiancé to a much needed visit to her winter wonderland home, the North Pole. She wants him to experience and see her royal life, because one day she will be the Queen and will have to move back before she says yes to his proposal. All seems well until a weird coincidence in a toy contest has some citizens of the North Pole blaming Sinclair since he's a necromancer and that is "Dark" magic. Jayne vows to clear his name and find out what really happened. After digging she finds all kinds of strange occurrences that only complicate things and makes it perfectly clear someone is trying to get rid of Sinclair. 

This was so good. I was so excited to finally get to see the North Pole!!! Thus why I wanted to wait until Xmas, but oh well ;)

OOOooOOOOOooOOOoo that mystery was dang good. I had ZERO idea. Anytime I had a suspect it was quickly resolved and made even more confusing. The ending twist and the big whodunnit revealed...I was shocked to say the least. Yayy!! I'm happy. The last couple were easy guesses. This will stump you and leaving you itching to find the answer. 

Okay. Okay...I adore Sinclair. I can't wait for them to get married (psssh not a spoiler you know esp if you see what the next book is called). They adorable and he has earned my love. He has always been a great guy...don't get me wrong...but I was on Team What's-his-name (now I'm blanking on his name hehe).

The narrator is AMAZING as per normal. I want to listen to more by her after this series comes to a close. 

In the end, this was really good. I loved it. The mystery, the romance, the adventure, the cats. Fun for all! 5 stars.

Review:

Yayy! Book 5!

Christmas is finally over and life has slowed down for Jayne for now. Jayne has a new beau and she's beginning to think he is the one. He has a cat that Spider likes and everything seems great. That is...until Myra Grimshaw's death reveals the elderly fae seemed to have a strange obsession with Jayne's royal family and she has a lot of unauthorized objects that should only belong to a winter elf including a very questionable snow globe. Overnight a huge whiteout of magical snowstorm hits the town and Birdie is kidnapped. Can Jayne save the town, her crown, and her friends?

This was of the most intense mysteries Jayne has faced yet! There was a lot at play here and everything was tied together somehow, someway. I'm glad the author upped the game here. The last couple the mystery seemed rather easy to solve, but this one I was unsure how Jayne was going to fix EVERYTHING and figure out what was going on. 

And that twist about Myra. That was great. 

I'm beginning to like Jayne's new boy. I'm sad it didn't work out with the vamp because I adored him, but this new guy seems to be perfect for her and Spider and I am happy. 

Can I just say how happy I am that the original narrator is back!!!!! Don't get me wrong...the guy who did 4.5 was good, but I adore this narrator so much more. Her voices are perfect for the characters. 

Overall, I really enjoyed this one. Probably one of my favorites of the series so far. The mystery was fun and I had no idea how Jayne was going to save everyone and everything. I'm liking the romance and the original narrator is back. Yayy! I'll give this 5 stars. No issues. Adored it.

Review:

Birdie!!!!!!! Yayy!!!!!!

In this short-story Jayne is gone for a few days and Miss Birdie is set to babysit the adorable Spider. After Spider accidently gets out, Birdie must find this kitty before Jayne gets back. She turns to some friends and a special beau of hers to find him. 

I adore Birdie. I was so excited to see she gets to have some spotlight! I want her to find her own HEA. She has been the town's beloved Auntie for a while. She needs to be spoiled rotten and loved by a great person. 

I liked her guy friend and he seems great. He's been so patient with Birdie because he understands how hard it is to lose a spouse.

This was a fun and sweet and cute. A fun little mini-mystery trying to find Spider asap. Loved it. 

I would love to see Birdie more. She is fun. 

My only meh was the narrator. He wasn't bad....but it wasn't the same. Not sure why they switched out the narrator for this one because the normal narrator does book 5. Mmm. I've gotten spoiled with Hollis!

In the end, I really adored this. I'll give it 4 stars. It wasn't the same with this different narrator sadly BUT still good and fun.

Review:

Book 4. Could not stop myself. I had to get started on this one right away because of the ending of the last one. 

We continue were we left off. Lark is back. Jayne is forced to relive the painful past and try to be an adult about it. Being an adult is hard. Finally accepting Lark's apology and having a peace between them, Jayne moves on with her life. They'll never be friends again, but at least the hatchet is buried. Some time passes and everything seems good. Jayne has her two beaus and she is enjoying her casual life until the Black and Orange Ball. Peace is shattered and now she has to track down the caper.

Lark is a jerk. But I would've tried to bury the hatchet with her too. I've had to do that with some past friends as well. It's hard, but hatred is poison for the person holding onto that hatred. 

The mystery of the caper, on the surface, was pretty easy to solve, but there was more at play then what you can guess. The whos and the whys were a surprise to me. Can't say much else on that front ;)

Both Grayson and Cooper were gone for the majority of this which annoyed me, but it made room for a new guy Sinclair. I like him a lot. Since the other two are gone and Jayne doesn't want to go alone to the Ball, Sinclair takes her. He's new to town and he makes donuts....so can you blame her for saying yes? Plus...the other two know there is no commitment so who cares. Except....there might be real feelings with this one. Oooooo I can't blame her. I like him too.

*SPOILER ALERT*

OMG. So I will say the breakups were pretty lame. I get Cooper needs to be with his family and take care of his mom on the other side of the country. I get that. Fine and fair. BUT Grayson. What an asshat!!! We get your sire was killed by a necromancer. Sure okay....sad. HOWEVER, Sinclair is not that dude. Isn't that kind of racist in a way? Sighs. Wouldn't you want to fight for her and save her? Nope...he just walks away. OKAY. Bleh. I'm not really happy with how "easy" this all went down. After nearly 2 years of casually seeing each other the boys so easily walked away without ANY sort of fight. Doesn't sit well with me.*SPOILER END*

So yes - I am not happy with Grayson and his reaction to Jayne casually seeing Sinclair. Fine go away. Poor Cooper. I hope everything ends up okay but I still don't want her with Cooper. I am now Team Sinclair. Sorry Grayson. 

I am curious about the next one. Will there be more of a resolution or drama? I feel like Grayson needs a chance to have redemption? Maybe? Or is that chapter doneso? Can't wait!

The narrator is fantastic as per normal. Love her voices. 

In the end, there was a lot of drama here. The mystery was there but it was pretty simple on the who...but there are was some more depth to the whos and the whys which was entertaining. Curious to see what happens next. I'll give this 3. Not crazy with how some of the drama went.

Loving this series!!

In book 3, we continue following Jayne Frost who is a Winter elf, Jack Frost's daughter, Santa's niece, heir to the Winter Throne, runs her family's store, and helps solve crimes here and there. When the Sandman comes to the store to do his first ever book signing with his first book. He's a supernatural celebrity and Jayne needs to help keep him happy. All is well until trouble shows up at a party thrown in his honor. The Mistress of Nightmares is his creepy counterpart and his ex-wife. Can Jayne keep the Sandman safe? Or will her threats put everyone to sleep for good?

These are so much fun! I'm really loving the series. Jayne is so sweet and I want to be her BFF. The other characters are always a blast. This town is so much fun! Can I live there?????

Now - I will say you need to at least read book 2 before diving into this one. There is a lot of references to our last book.

The weird love triangle is starting to get a hair old personally. The boys do seem to be wanting more. I have a feeling they will be putting their feet down soon. I stand behind Jayne though. She doesn't want to commit to anyone yet. She is enjoying her freedom and life. I do have a feeling she may have to let them go if they start pushing her to commit. I mean...I would get it if they did, but stick to your guns girl! They are both okay fellas, but you are young keep on dating!

Totally called the whodunit for this one. The REASON I didn't catch, but I was surprised I guessed it. It seemed a little easy this time around. 

I am curious about Lucien. I want to learn more about him. He seems interesting. 

OMG that ending!!!!!!!!!!! I have to start book 4 asap. *starts downloading* You can't leave us like thissssss!!!!! 

Overall, I am loving this series. Not my favorite, but I still really liked it. A fun mystery and I love these characters. I'll give this 3 stars.

Book 2! Couldn't wait. ;) Had to check it out nowwwwww. 

We continue with Jayne. She is now the manager of the Nocturne Falls store. Just add that hat to her collection. She is also a Winter elf, Jack Frost's daughter, Santa's niece, heir to the Winter Throne, and a sort of PI. Another mystery lands on her lap after she buys a sealed box at an estate sale. Thanks to her cat, the box is opened and life at Nocturne Falls starts going a little haywire. Jayne has no choice but to find out what was unleashed, recapture it, and fix everything. 

Ooooo that kitty cat. LOLL. Sure did cause a lot of strife for Jayne and the town!!! But I love that dang cat. He is so cute! 

And I love Jayne. I am beginning to get annoyed with her though. She just needs to officially date the vamp. He is hot and he's Irish. No contest there sister! I get she doesn't want to "date" anyone yet and she made it clear to the both of them and they are okay...for now...but at some point she will have to pick or let them go. I'm all for Woman Power and just doing the casual thing...100%...but I know she is going to have a hard time picking....unless she doesn't pick any of them. Maybe she will meet the ONE? I am curious! But I'm okay with this love triangle for NOW, because she has made it clear that she is not interested, fully, in either of them and she doesn't want to commit. She's having fun in this new town. I'm cool with that too. I just hope we don't full into a pure love triangle and it gets all angsty. *fingers crossed*

I love Jayne's friends. 

I love this town. 

This series is so much fun! I can't wait for book 3! *trying to be patient*

The mystery was fun but I wasn't a big fan of the baddie and how that got resolved. Honestly? Too easily resolved. Sure. It is a "cozy" mystery, but the who and why was written on the wall. Meh. 

The narrator is fantastic. She is perfect for the characters and the story. 

Overall, I enjoyed this. The mystery was a little too easily resolved for my liking, but I still enjoyed watching Jayne fix everything. I also do worry that we may have an angsty love triangle in our future...I hope not, but we shall see. For now, I'm happy that Jayne is just enjoying her life and dating casually. I'll stamp this with 4 stars.

The more Jayne finds out, the more questions she has, but the answers lead her deeper into danger. Will her magic save her? Or will she come up cold?

Review:

I've been curious about this one. It always pops up as a book I might like sooooooooo I decided to finally give in and see if Audible was right. 

We follow Jayne Frost who is the daughter of Jack Frost, Santa's niece, and she is the heir to the Winter Throne. NOW she is a private investigator....sort of. Needing someone he can trust, Jack Frost sends her undercover to Nocturne Falls to find out why so many employees at the Santa's Workshop are going missing. Doing that requires her to disguise herself with magic and get to know the town and the people. She will come across an old flame, a sexy vamp, and a weird elevator that her boss says is strictly off-limits. The more she finds, the more questions that pop up. 

This was a ton of fun! I loved Jayne and this world. Sighs. I am suckered in now. Crap! haha. I already downloaded book 2. I will try and save it since I have other pressing audios, but I am tempted to just start it now ;) 

Jayne being magically undercover was genius. I loved that she got a chance to be herself and find true friendship. Being a princess and one of the elite can have its disadvantages. 

Lovveeddd that sexy vamp. I am totally rooting for him to steal Jayne's heart!

I loved her friends. They were fun. 

That cat is adorable! Funky name, but it works. 

The mystery was good. I had zero idea who, why, where. I applaud the author for stumping me until the very end. 

The narrator was fantastic. Her Irish, vamp voice was amazing. Perfect! 

Overall, I am suckered in now. This was really good. I was hooked from page one and I cannot wait to get to book 2. Highly recommend it. Fun story and fun characters. 5 stars from me!
