Where I got It: Borrowed from library

Summary:
As a cassandra sangue, or blood prophet, Meg Corbyn can see the future when her skin is cut—a gift that feels more like a curse. Meg’s Controller keeps her enslaved so he can have full access to her visions. But when she escapes, the only safe place Meg can hide is at the Lakeside Courtyard—a business district operated by the Others.

Shape-shifter Simon Wolfgard is reluctant to hire the stranger who inquires about the Human Liaison job. First, he senses she’s keeping a secret, and second, she doesn’t smell like human prey. Yet a stronger instinct propels him to give Meg the job. And when he learns the truth about Meg and that she’s wanted by the government, he’ll have to decide if she’s worth the fight between humans and the Others that will surely follow

Review:
Hehehehehe read this again BUT I have a good excuse....I picked this for book club! It was time for us all to pick a re-read we want the others to pick and I had a hankering for this bad boi.

3rd time bebe! I literally listened to this on my ride to the office (ugh I hate when I have to go in) and all day and then on my ride home. Flew through this that is for sure.

We are at the beginning with Meg, Simon and the crew. I love the Others. I love some humans. Most humans SUCK!! BOOO! Be smarter.

The narrator is amazing. 100000% recommend doing the narration of this series. Reading it is okay, but the narrator really spices it up.

This is a series you need to check out.

4 stars.

Where I got It: My shelf (Audible)

Summary: When the Dickenson clan sits down for Thanksgiving dinner in 2016, it is the last holiday when their tight-knit family will ever be the same. Oldest brother Pete and his wife are expecting their first child. Youngest sibling Sophie is too busy running her restaurant, The Little Plum, to bother with any kind of social life. And middle child Charlie's happy, uncomplicated life as a Midwestern science professor is upended when his wife Annette is diagnosed with a terminal illness. Knowing this will be her last Thanksgiving, Annette asks Sophie to look after Charlie after she's gone. Which would be a lot easier if Charlie didn't show up with an insufferable new girlfriend at the next holiday meal.

Review:
Couldn't resist listening to this again while setting up my house with Thanksgiving and Fall decor since I'm hosting Turkey Day this year. This was the perfect listen while doing that. Plus...I'm fully addicted to this and it is perfect.

This has everything you need....humor...tears....a meaning....family....friends....lessons...and love.

This really hits my heart hard and I feel like I can listen to this a million times. I still really want a book 2. I feel like there is more to their stories!!!

5 stars!
