Storyline (from IMDB):
The senior partner of an investment brokerage, Jeffrey Desange, has a breakdown due to a financial collapse and kills several co-workers and his estranged wife. He then kidnaps his two young daughters, Victoria 3 and Lilly just 1. He drives his car recklessly through a winding snow covered road. He loses control of his car and drives off an embankment. He finds an abandoned and isolated cabin where he plans to kill his daughters, but the children are saved by a dark ghostly image. After five years of searching and depleting his savings, Jeffrey's twin brother, Lucas, finds the children that were raised without social interaction and claim that they have been raised by 'Mama'. Lucas disputes the custody with the children's Great Aunt but Dr. Dreyfuss, who is working with the girls, helps Lucas get custody of the girls so that he can still have access to them. Lucas, his girlfriend Annabel, Victoria and Lilly move into a house provided be the institute that Dr. Dreyfuss works for. Lucas...

My thoughts:
Scary movies are scary. So no, I can't say I am big on them. They give me nightmares, and honestly I get nightmares from watching deer and rabbits play on a meadow. Curse this brain! Especially when I wake up, brain still asleep but seeing things (there is a word for that), so there are snakes in my bed, I usually run out of the room. I know what I am doing, but I tell myself you are a sleep idiot and go back to the snakes....

But it was Halloween and I asked an expert (who LOVES getting scared) about what to watch.  A movie about freaky people in masks killing people? HELL NO! Mama?...ok, I ill give that one a go. It's paranormal, that is always better than normal people doing evil things. Enough with that on the news.

I must say it was not that scary. Bf jumped one time more than I did. But it was creepy. Honestly, euwwww. It was the kids, damn those kids! What is more creepy than kids coming towards you on all four like some freaky beetle?! Those kids scared the crap out of me. One of them did turn out normal  but then  younger creepy kid, the one that forgot who she was and only liked mama. Ugh, creepy.

Mama then, sure, she was evil, crazy, insane, and not someone I would like to meet. Just thinking of those kids in that disgusting rotting house makes me sad, and then an evil ghost took care of them. No wonder they ran around like freaky beetles.

It had a few jump moments, but mostly it was me shouting, GO GO GO leave them! Let their crazy mama have them! Especially when the movie takes a sinister thone because mama is NOT happy.

The end, oh I can't spoil that but..huh..yes I can't say anything. Fitting the movie I guess.

Now I guess I should say something about the actors. Well that GoT guy was not around much, can't say I felt him. Chastain was good, she did a great job, and the kids too were great.

And now, no more horror before next Halloween.

Book Review: Cursed by Destiny by Cecy Robson

Oh my goodness. I couldn't read this fast enough. Normally series such as these die down after the second book, but the series keeps getting better and better and better. The ending had me DYING for the next book. I need to know what is going to happen next; especially with the last sentence. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek! How is Celia going to get her HEA? How is the Pack and Aric going to respond with this news? Misha is going to flip! UGH! SO much drama ahead for our gang.

There is the a-typical love triangle happening, but it is way different. Celia only wants Aric. She wants to just be friends with Misha, who is the blonde twin of Jean Claude from the Anita Blake series (he seriously annoys me. I am starting to like him a little more, but still...he doesn't get the fact Celia WANTS TO BE YOUR FRIEND - NOT LOVER!). Now there is a hint of a love square happening. The Pack Elders want Aric to marry and have babies with a fellow Pureblood, so they are trying to force Celia to be a werelion, Ty. Poor Celia...all she wants with Aric, but the damn Pack and Anara are in her way. Stupid Anara...I hope Celia can kill him. That would make my day. Aric made me mad at the beginning. He is to marry another, but keeps coming around Celia to "make sure she is ok". He doesn't get that it is making it worse for her AND for him. Sighs. I do like him later on...he does redeem himself a wee bit.

There was so much going on. So much action, hurt emotions, and tears. I want everyone to be happy. However....Emme made me happy. I can't say what she did, but it made me happy, because I hate Liam. 0_0 Emme deserves better...she really does. 

I can't say much else without fear of letting out too many spoilers. I am dying to see what happens in the next book. Cecy Robson needs to fix everything! I know it won't happen in the next book - due to the summary - but it needs to happen soon. I feel so bad for Celia and Aric. :( Stupid asshole Pack Leaders. >__> 

In the end, this was a good read. Not as good as the second book, but the series is keeping everything fresh and still keeping me interested. I love all the characters (even the ones I loath, like Liam) in some way shape or form. They truly make the series. I recommend that lovers of the paranormal genre give this a go. Out of five stars, I stamp this one with 4 stars. 

Favorite Character(s): Celia, Taran, Gemini (*drools*), Koda (*drools even more*), Ty (I kinda hope he gets with Emme), Emme (she toughens up a lot in this book), and Hank (hahaha, don't know why, but I actually wish he had more spotlight). 
Not-So Favorite Character(s): Misha (he is gaining some points in my book, though), Aric (same as Misha...gaining some points), Anara (I hope he gets stabbed by a spoon...), and Martin (you are the Alpha of the Pack...act LIKE IT!)

Book Blog Walkers & Happy Halloween!

This challenge is organized by Felicia over at the Geeky Blogger's Book Blog This is my first week with this challenge. I've been wanting to do this for a while now...but...I just never did. Plus, I do a lot of walking at my job, so I was being a baby. Even though it is almost the end of 2014, I shall jump on board (because they say you can join whenever). I don't have anything recorded for Saturday, Sunday, or Monday, because I decided to join on Tuesday. I am a bad cookie. Next week will be a full week. 
Tuesday: 2.5 mile walk/jog Wednesday: 1 hour walk (about 2 miles, I forgot to turn on my step counter)  Thursday: 30 min of Zumba and 1 mile walk Friday: 30 min of Zumba - Buns, Abs, and Thighs workout (that kicks my butt every time) and 1 mile walk Conclusion: I feel I did a good job even though I started late for this week. I really should do that Zumba - Buns, Abs, and Thighs one a couple times a week, but it kicks my booty and its hard. Not gunna lie, but I can feel it. I can't wait for school to be over, because it is hard to fit in a whole bunch of exercise with 40 hours at work and then full time in college, but I will make sure I try and do it everyday!

REVIEW:

I've been wanting to watch this mini-series for a while now, but I never finished the book so long ago, so I felt bad. I really need to give the book a second chance and I will...thanks to this adaptation.

Sooooooooo good. I loved the cast and I loved the story. I honestly watched all four episodes in one day, because I needed to know what would happen next. I especially loved Mr. Thornton...even though he was a butt sometimes - I may be biased because I adore Richard Armitage. I did want to punch Margaret though, because she was a pain and wouldn't be honest with Mr. Thornton. Just tell him the truth! GAH! It's so obvious he will believe you and not betray you, because not only does he love you, but he loves your father so that family secret matters not to him. Why can't people just be honest? I get not telling everyone your family secret, but I think the man you love and who loves you deserves the truth.

Okay, I did feel bad for Margaret, because she had a nice simple life in southern England with the trees and the house in nature and her father decides to move them to the North for no real reason. The reason - once he tells - is stupid and not really worth the move. Perhaps, in the book they explain it more. We shall see. 

I am certainly glad that it took a while for the two to get together; it made the first kiss and acceptance of proposal worth the wait. There was a lot they had to work out and prove to each other, before they could get together. 

Honestly, I am glad they divided this into 4 parts, because they could add more story-line and explain more. Each character also got a good amount of spotlight. The revolt and the people involved got the spotlight it deserved and I'm glad they didn't cut out the dirty truth of the time period. People were being taken advantage of and not getting enough money. Even though they stood up and demanded more, Mr. Thornton was a man of his time period and refused to pay them. Like every romance-y story, he does have a change of heart, but it takes a big event...I will not say what happens, but it does change his heart and see Margaret's point of view. 

In the end, I am now super excited to give the book a second chance. This was a great adaptation and made me in love with the story. It is not a simple romance, but there are personal issues and society issues that keep them apart for a while. They do come together, but they earned it. They both had to change to be able to love each other fully. I am glad they showed the truth of the time period; there was good, but also people had to suffer and not get paid enough for their work. I recommend this to those that love historical fiction and romance. It is a good story. I stamp this with 5 stars.

Re-watch?: Yes. It was good.
