Review:
I got this as a freebie from Amazon. Been itching for more mysteries since I've been reading a LOT of romance the last couple of months.

Tanya and her fellow detective friends are at Paradise Cove for a vacation getaway. However, things go haywire when a Porsche slams into the cafe where they at and the driver shoots a man dead. There is something sinister going on and it will be up to Tanya, her K9, and her fellow detectives to solve the mystery in this small town. While they navigate through the weeds, the killer is hiding in plain sight.

I'll admit it...............I struggled hardcore with this. In all honesty, I wanted to DNF it and move, but I was curious enough to want to know what was going on.

Tanya and her gang were annoying. The dialogue felt so childish and fake. Maybe it was just me, but yeah, I couldn't help cringe or roll my eyes.

The town sucked.

The sheriff was a jerk.

I loved Max and only Max. He was a gem.

The mystery was fun enough and I'm glad I stuck around to see the conclusion.

Sadly, I don't think I won't be reaching for book 2 even though I adored the puppers.

2 stars from me. One star for Max and one star for the mystery.
