Wordless Wednesday: Unjust Edition

(I know this is Wordless Wednesday but this picture means a lot to me. I now know how it feels to be unjustly fired. I was fired from work yesterday on the grounds of something I didn't do. It isn't fair at all, but I learned something loud and clear.....the world isn't fair when it comes to power. They fired me as an example even though I did nothing wrong.)

Happy Easter everyone! I hope you all get a belly full of yummah chocolate and sweets!!

I'm skipping the Sunday Ketchup post today. I'm just giving a quick little run-down. I know, I know...I haven't had a nice catch-up session for a long while now. I've been a bad bunny. *bows head in shame* I also must apologize for not posting 'A Very Pink Cast that Book' yesterday, I had to take my friend to the hospital and we were there for THREE HOURS! It was insane, but my friend is all right. ^.^

THE QUICK RUN-DOWN

Well, I've been insanely with work and school, I've been slowly adjusting to my new sleep cycle, and I've been sick/full of allergies since I got home from Oklahoma. I believe I am allergic to Texas or I got some odd Texas bug. We went trudging through the Arlington Park and I haven't been right since.

Why am I adjusting (horribly at that) to a new sleeping cycle? Well, I was moved over to a different Tim Hortons. The one in Romeo is where I am now at. I work the morning shift now! I hate mornings, but this is what I wanted and so I must adjust to getting up super early. Being completely honest...this girl is NOT a morning person, so the adjusting is taking a long, hard time. BAH! Plus going to school isn't helping matters much. I have some pretty tough classes this semester:

Emerging Nations 

American Literature (currently kicking my butt)

Workplace Communication (a slight blow-off class)

OTHER MATTERS

Onto other matters...I forgot to announce my Movie of the Week on Monday (bad bunny I be)! I realized that earlier today when I was at work. I was mopping the floor and the thought struck me. E-gags! Anyways..the next Movie of the Week is.............*drum-roll*..........................The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011 version)

I had watched this in Oklahoma with my cousin and her husband, but I was suffering from the early stages of my allergies/sickness. It was the last night in my beloved Oklahoma and we decided to have a quiet evening in and watch this film. Since I was slightly out of it, I'm going to watch it again and review it. ^.^ I would also like to watch the other version someday Here's the trailer:

Happy Sunday! How is everyone? I must apologize for the lack of posting this week. My schedule has been insane! I've been soooooo busy with school, work, working out, and all that jazz. Lately, I've had a couple things added to my plate, like, I'm helping host a Cystic Fibrosis bowling fundraiser for Anee's niece and Anee nominated me as her Maid of Honor *squeals* How exciting is that?!? I'm really nervous and I have no idea what to do! Any advice?

Tim Horton News: 

On Monday we are starting Roll-Up-The-Rim. What is this? On our medium, large, and extra large (I believe they are on XL) cups you can roll up the rim of the drink and you have a 1-in-6 chance of winning. How exciting? The prizes range from free donuts to a new car! Exciting stuff! Throughout the week we, employees, are allowed to wear the Roll-Up-The-Rim t-shirts. This year they are bright red....uggggghhhhh....on Monday I'll take a picture of the damnable shirt. If I dye my hair green I would like a tomato. SAVE ME!

What Came in the Mail/Store:

I finally received the next two ebooks of the Lilly Series and Hollywood Stories by Stephan Schochet. I can't to read them! I also bought my own copy of Dracula by Bram Stoker, sooooo I'll finally finish it! Let's see...I bought some pants...huh. Well, that's about it. 

Anything Else Worth Mentioning?:

Mhhhmmmmmm, nope. I'm just really excited that I'm going to help Anee with her wedding by being her Maid-of-Honor. ^.^ The wedding is in 6 months and change.

Happy Sunday everybody! It's simply lovely outside. The snow is falling gracefully from the sky. It's oddly calming. Don't ask me why. How was everyone's week? Mine was fantastic! On Saturday, I went to the gym with my friend for the first time since High School! I mean yeah, I've worked out at home, but it's not the same. I feel very accomplished! It's called Fitness Anytime. The name speaks for itself. You can go there and workout at anytime. I went at 10 pm. It's only $30 per month or $40 per month if you want unlimited tanning. Not a bad deal! If you're not a member (like me) it's $5 dollars each time. I'm contemplating becoming a member. 


Sorry for the rambling about this awesome gym. ^.^

Tim Horton News:
I forgot to mention this...we have new Velvet foods. Like velvet muffins, brownies, and donuts. I've only tried the brownie so far and it was okay. We also have lasagna casserole and garlic bread, which was yummy. 

What Came in the Mail/Store?:

I got a couple things. One was my new skin/cover for my kindle fire. The other was a book I won from Allison at The Musings of a Book Junkie! So exciting. 

Anything Else Worth Mentioning:

The Blog has finally gotten over the 50 follower mark! Huzzah! I'm super excited! I'll be hosting a giveaway soon in honor of this victory. I'm not sure what I'm giving away, but once i decide on that I'll let you all know. Also...I've been made an administrator at the Ever After Pr Facebook page. Woot Woot!

Ugh, it's been a busy weekend. Work (of course) and I even got to go to a small "social gathering" (code name for party created by Alex at work) Saturday after work! 'Dracula in Love' by Karen Essex. I won this from Allison's giveaway over at The Musings of a Book Junkie

'Wild Child' by Mary Jo Putney. I bought this at Amazon!

These two, I bought from my local Library (they have a cart of books they are selling). Guess for how much? $1.50 -US money- total, for both! A girl can't pass that up, eh?

'Passing Through Paradise' by Susan Wiggs and 'A Prisoner of Versailles' by Golden Keyes Parsons

I had Saturday off! I rarely ever get a weekend day off! I was super excited when Mary (my homie at work) came up to me and asked if I wanted to switch days with her. Of course! I took her Thursday and she took my Saturday. ^.^

Also! I've known this for a while, but I couldn't speak a word of it, but since it has been officially announced I am free to spill the beans....Anee (my best friend) has been promoted to Assistant General Manager of our store! I'm so happy for her! She's going into Business, so this was a HUGE stepping stone for her.

Happy Sunday everyone! ^.^ Halloween is right around the corner and I'm kind of excited. I get to wear a costume to work. Huzzah! The theme that the people I'll be working with decided on was 'Cat and it's toys'. The manager of the day, Anee's mama, is going as the cat. Tay is going as a mouse toy. Moi? I'm going as a ball of yarn with blue devil horns (I got them at the Haunted Warehouse I went to with Sarah last weekend). HAHAHAHA. It'll be cute ^.^ I can't WAIT! What are going as on Halloween?

I had a couple books come to me. 'Heart of the Falcon' by Suzanne Robinson came to me by mail and I ordered an e-book version for my Geography class (the book from my college would have been $150, rip-off). However, buying the e-book broke my #1 rule....keep to paper books. I know, I know...I'm a hypocrite, but I saved a lot of money though.

Nothing I can think of....maybe new quotes for the 'Quotes section'. 


Whats Going to Be Posted this Week?:
I'll have a little more extra time on my hands, so I hope to have a couple book reviews done by Saturday and maybe a movie review (if the movie arrives soon). Other than that....just expect the usual stuff. ^.^

As I said already, I shall be going onto the afternoon shift starting Friday! Woot woot! They gave me four days off...what shall I do with myself? Any suggestions?

Happy Sunday everyone! The week is nearly done, which means my classes are starting soon! Oh no! That means my free time is going to be cut slightly. I actually can't wait, but I'm nervous because my financial aid hasn't gone through yet. Also, it's my second year of college and for some reason that thought is putting butterflies in my stomach. Why? I have no idea...well, my week was okay. I spent a lot of time with family and a little bit of time with friends, but it mostly uneventful. How was your week?

It's Fall time, so that means we are featuring Fall related foods. Like the Pumpkin Spice timbits and muffins. We also have Apple Cider donuts and timbits and muffins. We are also selling the new Specialty Bagels; Mixed Berry, French Toast Cinnamon, and Tomato Asiago. I tried the latter one and it was....okay. Also my time on midnights is limited. I can't wait until I can be on a normal person schedule again! Huzzah!

Sunday Ketchup

Happy Sunday everyone! How was your week? I must apologize because I really slacked this week about posting stuff. I could lie and say I was SO busy I just had no time to type up posts, but that would be a lie. I WAS slightly busy, but I was also lazy and I slept a lot. I think I may have been sick, but I'm not sure. All I do know is that I sat on my butt and watched TV or read or slept.

Except for Saturday. I got up at 7 am and went to the Michigan Renaissance Festival with my friend, Sam, and her boyfriend. We all dressed up and spent the day there. I also spent a lot of money, but hey, I don't regret it (yet). I lost my camera, so I have no proof of being there, but I believe Sam took some picture, so I'll try and upload them.

It's Labor Day weekend, so we've been slightly busy. Also, we are beginning our Fall menu which is slightly exciting! Also, we are bringing back the bread bowls and introducing new Paninis. I finished my videos on how to make them and they seem pretty good and easy to make. September 28th will be my one year anniversary with Tim Hortons, so that's a pretty neat achievement! Oh! I am now being forced to wear the white bakers outfit when I bake (poo), but I've avoided it this long so I'm okay with it.


Anything Else?:
Yes! I can't help but spoil this for you guys....sometime this week I'll be announcing my give-away! You may be asking, "What is she giving away this time?" Well, I won't tell you exactly WHAT it is, but I'll give you a hint....it is a book and it has a pretty cover. ^.^ I can't wait!!
