Music Monday: Oldies Edition #4

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend. I sort of did...but I was busy all weekend. Sighs. What can you do? Buuuut it was nice having the weekend off for once. Normally I work weekends, but I got it off. Yayy! Are you guys ready for some music to cheer up the Monday blues?

The first video is a request from miss B. I may not be a Whovian (or whatever they call the fans of Dr. Who), but a few of my friends so I can appreciate it. I also think the actor who plays the tenth doctor is hot. lol Enjoy:

That's all I got for you this week. :) Any requests, leave it in the comments below.

I have today and tomorrow and then I have Wednesday off and then I work Thursday. HOWEVER, I'm getting Friday and Saturday off. Thank goodness! Well...lets have some oldies to brighten up the day.

The first video is in honor of Motley Crue! They are retiring! I SHALL MISS YOU!

That's all I have for you this week! Any requests? Comment below!

Music Monday

Happy Monday everyone. A new week is up ahead! I feel like this week is going to drag on and on. I don't know why...but I have this feeling that it is. Sorry for limited posting...I just haven't had much to post about and my reading time has been limited due to working and being very lazy. Hahaha. Since I have a little bit of time, I thought I'd share a couple songs with y'alls. ^.^

Have a great week you guys!

Music Monday

Good lord...I haven't done one of THESE posts in a while. Hahaha. There are many songs I want to share, but I'll have to control myself. ^.^

The first video is an amazing cover 'Wrecking Ball' by the amazing Julia Grant:

Even though Katherine Howard isn't my favorite historical figure...I adore this song and this music video:

Need a little Du Barry in your life?:

Have a great week you guys!

The Return of Carole: Music Monday

Happy Monday everyone! Sooooo sorry I have been pretty much absent. Once school was done, I was busy due to work and the catching up with socializing with the world. I had been anti-social during school it was sad. Haha. Now I have rested and am motivated to blog once more.

Well, since it is Monday and I have nothing ready to share yet, I'll share some music to get this Monday started:

First one is a lovely little tribute to Marilyn Monroe. It's fabulously done.

By boyfriend showed me this video...it's "controversial" and people are in an uproar thinking this video is real. Gotta hate people....it so obviously fake its not funny. What do you guys think?

Music Monday

Happy Monday everyone! I know I haven't posted one of these in a wee bit, but finally I have some freetime to do so! School is nearly done for this semester...thank God. It was so hard to be motivated...not only is it lovely outside, but I just haven't cared. I took Winter off, which helped none at all, and I've been working like a crazy kid and a lot of my time has been going to my boyfriend. Sighs. The day just doesn't have enough time in it.

Well, the first video is 'Just Give Me a Reason' by Pink and featuring Nate from Fun. I haven't utterly enjoyed a Pink song in years! I loved her first CD, but after that...I wasn't a fan. Perhaps it's because of Nate, but I love this song.

I'm really falling in love with FUN. They are amazing. Here's another song I adore, 'Carry One'. Such a good drinking song/motivation song:

And finally...since I didn't post what I wanted to post yesterday...here is a little tribute in honor of Queen Anne Boleyn who was wrongly executed due to the corruption of Cromwell and the selfishness and insanity of Henry VIII:

Music Monday

Happy Monday! I haven't done this meme in quite some time. Perhaps it is time to not only share music, but update my Favorite Songs of the Moment section as well.

First is a song that is stuck in my head. I thought it was rather dumb at first, but now I am addicted. 'I Love It' by Icona Pop.

Here is a nice Marie Antoinette/Louis XVI video:

That's all I got for you this week. Enjoy the week!

Happy Monday! I'm so happy the holidays are over. I need a rest from the "vacation". Haha. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, I had to work and did a lot of driving, but it was good overall.

First is a Snow White and Prince Charming video from 'Once Upon a Time' using the song "Oh My Stars".

That's all I have this week. Hope you enjoyed. ^.^

Music Monday: I'm Back Edition

I'm back! I'm back! Time to do a jig! Huzzah I say, huzzah! *dances*

As you can see I have missed my blog and posting and my lovely stalkers, I mean followers. ^.^ I know I haven't been gone too long, but it FEELS like an eon since I last posted or visited other blogs. Since it is Monday, I shall post my Music Monday. Time to get back into the flow of things. ^.^

Here is a nice colleague of some of the characters from Once Upon a Time. Not only is the video lovely, but the song is fantastic. It's 'Ever After' by Mariana's Touch

Never thought this combo would work, but it's rather good. Here's a video about King Henry VIII, song 'Whatcha Say', and the song 'Hide and Seek'.

Haha, a nice way to remember the personalities of the zodiacs. My friend shared this with me. It's so true, it's funny. ^.^

Thanks all I got this week. I feel so GOOD posting again. ^.^ A nice stress reliving.

Music Monday

Happy Monday you guys. I just realized I passed the 50 mark on 'Music Monday' posts *throws confetti*.

First is 'Some Nights' by FUN. Not only is the song great, but the video is awesome. I could see Kevin from the show 'Copper' listening to this. Also, it would be a good theme song for the show too.

Here's another good song. 'Whatcha Sayin' by Jason Derulo. For some reason I could see Henry Crawford form Mansfield Park by Jane Austen listening to this in his depression over being an idiot.

Now for a funny video. This is FWP....this is dedicated for all those people who suffer First World Problems:

Hope you enjoy my video selections!

Again....Late Music Monday

It's still Monday over here, but this is rather late. Blame work and homework! *shakes fist* ^.^ How was everyone's weekend? Mine was fun and busy. I was also reminded of that fact that I haven't done a movie review in a long....long time. Ekk. Whoops. Good news though! Look forward to movie reviews! However, it will be different then before. Not only will the reviews themselves be edited a wee bit, but I doubt I'll have 'Movies of the Week' anymore. My movie reviews will be more spontaneous. ^.^ Anyways, lets begin with the music...

First is another fan-video about Marie Anotinette. I can't get enough of these. I wish I had the time I did in High School, because I use to love making my own videos.

Ahhhhh 'Jessie's Girl'...an oldie, but a fantastic song.

Well, that's all I got this week. Enjoy!

A Late Music Monday

Happy late Monday everyone! How was everyone's weekend? Mine? Well, filled with work and tiredness. I worked a 10 hour shift today and I nearly forgot to post my Music Monday post today. Not complaining about working too much, but for some reason it....just doesn't feel right. I like Subway, I do, but....I'm not sure.

Anyways, let's begin with the music.

First is a video that my professor shared with us in our Macroeconomics class. It's kind of funny, but true. Death to the penny!! *shakes pitchfork*

Not only do I like this next song, but I feel like Athena from To Catch a Wolf would listen to this and imagine her beloved Morgan. This is 'Give Your Heart a Break' by Selena Gomez.

Ahhhh, can't get enough of these multi-fandom videos. The song for this one is a personal favorite song of mine...'Wide Awake' by Katy Perry.

Hope you enjoyed my selections for this week. ^.^

Music Monday

Happy late Monday! How is everyone doing? Well, this is my last week of freedom before classes begin, so yeaaah. ^.^ Now that I have a job I can feel my free-time slipping through my fingers like sand from the beach. Oh well, that's life. Let's begin the music:

First is a little music video by w4boi in honor of the Disney movies we so loved as kids with the song 'I Can Go the Distance' by Michael Bolton. For some reason the scenes of Ariel gives me a surge of hope. It probably has to do with the fact that she was my favorite princess as a little girl. In my senior year I put this song as an option for our Class Song, but everyone voted for this one song that I don't even remember. haha.

Here is my "new" song I'm addicted too. This is 'Wide Awake' by Katy Perry.

And now for something video....for all of you Thor/Avenger lovers here is the long-awaited therapy session between brothers:

That's all I have for you this week! Enjoy!

Music Monday: Labor Day edition

Happy Labor Day! For today I'm going to give 5 facts about Labor day thanks to FreeholdPatch. Also I'll be sharing some music videos. ^.^

"1. Government Offices Closed: The Freehold Borough Offices, Freehold Township Offices, and the post office will be closed on Monday.
2. Labor Day 101: The holiday, which is dedicated to celebrating the American worker, is celebrated the first Monday in September. It's been celebrated since Sept. 5, 1882.
3. Founder in Question: Who founded Labor Day? Well, that's a bit of a dispute. Some records point to a union guy named Peter J. McGuire, who was general secretary of the Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners and co-founder of the American Federation of Labor.
He reportedly wanted a day to "honor those who from rude nature have delved and carved all the grandeur we behold." In other words, the American worker.
But recent research points to Matthew Maguire, a machinist and secretary of a local International Association of Machinists in New Jersey, proposed the holiday in 1882. A picnic and demonstration was reportedly planned to celebrate.
4. National Holiday: Labor Day received its first official recognition by local governments in 1885 and 1886, and it worked its way up through state legislatures. It was officially recognized by Congress in 1894.
5. Don't Wear White?: We've all heard about the old-school etiquette rule about not wearing white after Labor Day. So where the heck did it come from? It's hard to say, but this Time magazine article posits that it had to do with the well-heeled wearing white during their summer vacations and then changing back to dark colors for when they returned to the sooty, dusty city."

First song is 'I Want U Back' by Cher Lloyd. It's highly addicting. Sarah and I rock to this song whenever it comes on. I was so excited when they actually played it at the club on Saturday.

Next is a song from my favorite book/movie Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier. This song plays in the back of my mind whenever I read any book set during the Civil War. I have been humming this to myself since starting The Spy Lover. I simply adore generally too. This is 'You Will Be My Ain True Love' performed by Alison Krauss.

Well, that's all I have for you guys this week.

Music Monday

Happy Monday everyone! I'm slightly glad the weekend is over and now I can just chill, job search, read, and do whatever I want until school starts at the end of September. ^.^ Well, lets begin with the music.

First is Lights by Ellie Goulding. I'm slightly addicted to this song:

Here is one of my favorite multi-fandom videos with the song Lights. Can you name all the couples/shows/movies? Enjoy! (you may have to follow this link to get to the video, it's being silly)

This song makes my day for some reason, hahaha:

Now, here's a trailer for my new show that I can myself getting addicted to. I watched the first episode last night and I think I'm in love! It's on the BBCAmerica channel and it's called 'Copper':

Hope you liked my music/video selections.

Music Monday

Happy Monday everyone. Its another hot day here in the lovely state of Michigan :/ At least we got a little break the other day, because it was storming and raining like crazy. It was nice. Well, today was Day Two in my physical therapy for my knee. Gah. I'm in so much pain...at least I'll have two days off. Woot woot! Well, let's play some music to help me chill.

First, I'm kind of addicted to this song. I whistled the tune all day at work today, so I have no choice but to play it. hahaha. It seems dirty, but according the artist, himself, its not. After watching the video, I'm feeling like he's playing innocent. Oh well...its still a good song. This is Whistle by Flo Rida:

I know I already read and reviewed 'The Seduction of the Phoenix', but I wanted to share this song that highly reminds me of Jin and Francesca. Unfortunaly for both of them, "one more night" would never come. They'll be together forever, because its a romance. lol. This is One More Night by Maroon 5:

Haven't shared a video fanmade video in a while. I'm going to share two by the always fantastic Tiukudaa. Both are about Marie Antoinette. The first one is crossover though. It's a quick glimpse of a romance between Marie and Captain James Norrington (who I loved) from 'Pirates of the Carribean'. The second one is just a montage. Enjoy:

Hope you enjoyed my selections for this week. ^.^

Music Monday: Flash From the Past

Happy Monday everyone.

Had a flash from the past yesterday at work. Anytime I work an afternoon at work I play either my mp3 player or iheartradio.com in the back. Yesterday, I played iheartradio.com and I had it on the Katy Perry station (much to the dismay of my co-worker). At one point when I was baking some donuts this song popped on. Memories of me dancing and singing this song when I was wee little thing came rushing to me. Now I must share it. haha. This is Genie in a Bottle by Christina Aguilera:

Here's another one I used to love What a Girl Wants, What a Girl Needs by Christina Aguilera:

And finally...the song I remember me and my friend making our own dance to...Dirty Pop by NsYNC. haha:

Music Monday

Happy late Monday everyone. I nearly forgot to post this, but for some reason Conan O'Brien reminded me. Don't ask how or why the two are connected....but yeah...I remembered so here is the post. ^.^

First off I have to share this song. At work my friend Therese and I sang this all shift long. After the original lyrics began to annoy everyone around us, we created our own lyrics. Haha. What a fun day that was! I can also see Lanny from 'The Taker' enjoying this song and having a good chuckle at the end. The song is Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen:

Next is the amazing song by Maroon 5, Payphone. I simply am in love with Adam Levine:

Instead of a funny video this week, I'm going to share a little sexy video featuring Gerard Butler. My friend was trying to convince me that Johnny Depp was the sexist man alive...I agree that Johnny Depp was pretty sexy, but no one beats my beloved Mr. Butler. I stole this video from Cecile over at All I Want and More as evidence. Enjoy!

I hope you enjoyed this weeks selection!

Music Mooooonday

Happy late Monday! How is everyone doing? I'm doing alright. Just really tired because I've been working a lot lately due to my new Supervisor position at the Tim Hortons in Romeo. Is it bad that I rather work then go to school? Perhaps I need to take a semester or two off to get re-motivated. What do you think?

Anyways, shall we start with the music?

This is definatly the parody of the month! I can't get enough of it! It really makes me want to watch the TV show 'Games of Thrones'. The hilarious team at BarelyPolitical created this poking jokes at the TV show and  Payphone by Maroon 5.

I'm really getting into this French band. They're really good! Here's my favorite...so far. This is Le Bien qui fait Mal by Mozart Opera Rock. In the future, I'll probably show a lot of videos by this band. ^.^ Click THIS to get to the video, because the video on here is being a pain:

That's all I have for you guys this week! Hope you enjoyed my selections.

Music Monday & Birthday Wishes

Happy Monday everyone! Today is Issac's first birthday. We celebrated it yesterday, but oh well. As you all know Issac is my "nephew". His mom is my best friend and I can't imagine life without either one of them. Luckily I was working midnights at the time of Issac birth, because Anee was so scared and she texted me for hours until she actually went into birthing mode. I was so scared for her!

Anyways, here is my picture of Issac on his big day with his first birthday cake:

He's such a big boy. I can't believe how big he is getting! Soon he's going to be a big brother. Anee's about to pop and I'm so excited! Of course I'm scared as Hell too. Child birth is NOT fun...or so I hear. Haven't had to do that yet.

Here's 'Rolling in the Deep' by Adele, which was the number one song at the time. Which is kind of funny, because Anee is in LOVE with this song. Funny how things work:
