~Follow Friday~

Happy Friday everyone! The weekend is nearly here! Also tomorrow is the this blog's first birthday! How exciting is that? ^.^ Anyways, since I have nothing else to post today, I'm going to join in the FFF.

Feature and Follow Friday is a weekly meme created by Parajunkee's View & Alison Can Read.
Every Friday they feature a blog and the blogger. They also ask a question! The point of this FFF is to hop around other people's blog. This week's question is:

Q: Define what characteristics your favorite books share. Do they all have a kickass heroine or is the hot love interest the Alpha Male?

A: Ummm...let's see....I'm not quite sure. It just depends on the genre of books. For Romance and Historical Romances I prefer my guy to be tough, but a secret softie. For action and adventure novels, it needs to be filled with action and witty dialogue. I guess my characteristics for my favorite books just depends on the genre of book I'm reading. ^.^ One thing that I look for is a strong female character. I hate women always having to be the damsel in the distress. I mean its nice once in while, but I'm a strong girl and I want my heroines to be strong and kickass too.

What about you?

Follow Friday

(Feature and Follow Friday is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read)

Well *looks up from book, with a pipe in hand*, hello everyone. What a glorious Friday it is...

*snaps out of it*
Sorry about being cheesy and trying to be funny. It's 1 AM here on my part of the world and I've been having trouble sleeping, so I'm a little slap-happy right now. Anyways...I haven't participated in Follow Friday in quite some time, so I decided to type this up and post it. Of course, I'll be hopping through some blogs. That's the fun of it! Blogs are like books; there are so many of them, but so little time. Like usual, the gals at Parajunkee and Alison Can Read present a question to be answered:

Q: If you had to spend an eternity inside the pages of a book, which book would you chose and why?

A: That's a hard one...there are so many books I would love to be stuck in for an eternity. Umm...JRR Tolkien's books. I would prefer the last book Return of the King, because that one has the happy ending. haha. I wouldn't want to live in warfare and terror forever, so I would relish in the happy ending feeling. I just love the world JRR Tolkien created and sometimes I wish I lived in that world. There isn't any Tim Hortons there ^.^. Which book would you love to stuck in forever and ever and ever?

Follow Friday

(Feature and Follow Friday is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read)

The question for this week is:
What is your biggest pet peeve when it comes to books? Maybe you don't like love triangles? Tell us about it!

My Answer:
I have a couple pet peeves, but I have ONE biggy... If you know me at all or have read my past reviews...I can't stand when authors make characters perfect. I hate it when the character can do everything and be super "hot" and nice and tough and blah blah blah. I like to have my characters to have some real flaws. NO ONE IS PERFECT. Sorry, as you can tell that is my biggest pet peeve. :]

What's your biggest pet peeve when it comes to books?

Well, well, I haven't done one of these in a wee bit. ^.^ Today's question/activity is:

"TODAY’S QUESTION IS SOMETHING NEW, AN ACTIVITY. WE WANT TO SEE WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE! TAKE A PIC WITH YOU AND YOUR CURRENT READ! TOO SHY? BOO! JUST POST A FUN PIC YOU WANT TO SHARE."

A: Well, I left Touch of the Wolf in the car AND its too chilly outside, so I decided to be lazy and just took a picture of me and Blue Moon.  Ironically I was listening to 'Human' by The Killers. :3

Movie of the Week & Follow Friday

I guess you can say this is a 2-in-1 post! Woot woot! I'll be announcing the next movie of the week and joining in on 'Follow Friday'. First, I'll announce the next movie of the week....which is.....

'Love Actually', here's a trailer:

I decided to try something new today. ^.^ Just like many others they feature a question and this weeks question is....

"What book that hasn't been turned into a movie (yet) would you most like to see make it to the big screen, and who would you like cast as your favorite character?"

My Answer:

Oooooh man...I can't pick just one! Can I do a couple? I would defiantly like to see 'The Snow Fox' by Susan Fromberg Schaeffer  turned into a movie. I would cast Nicky Lee to play  Matsuhito. I know he's not Japanese, but I envision him as Matsuhito nonetheless. He also looks great in uniform (he played in 'Mulan'), so I know he would do justice to the lovable Matsuhito.

I would also love to see 'Lord of Ice' by Gaelen Foley turned into a movie. I would cast Kellan Lutz as the Lord Damien Knight. Not only does Kellan Lutz look like him in my head, I think he would do a good job playing both him and his twin brother. However, he would have to keep his hair dark brown, not his normal blonde.

PS: Sorry about the lack of posts this week...college and work and stress is kicking my butt. Blogging releases stress, so maybe I should remember this and post something, ANYTHING to get rid of my stress. Between Wednesday and Thursday I had stayed up 35 hours straight, because all those things wouldn't allow me to sleep. Thank you for being there and allowing me to blog for free, blogger.com and for my followers from ACTUALLY reading my random posts. ^.^
