Blog All About it: SWEET

This month's prompt is: SWEET
Ooooo. Sweet. What a fun prompt!
For this month, I'm going to share a little bit about a new fruit I tried during my trip to California.

BF and I went to Knott's Berry Farm while there. Along with the marketplace, there is an amusement park which is what people typically go to see. We, being the cool kids we are, went to just the marketplace since they were hosting the Boysenberry Festival. They had more stores and stands inside the amusement park, but we didn't want to spend money on rides since we don't really ride them anymore.

It is sweet, but not overly so. It was yummy! We wanted to buy a jam, but planes are so picky so we didn't want to chance it. I actually was able to find a bottle from Knott's Berry Farm on Amazon so I ordered it. It should be arriving in a couple of days. Nom! I'm not crazy about jam, but I bet it is going to be yummy!
Honestly, it was super fun! I highly recommend it. I did the amusement park 10 years ago and that was fun too from what I remember.

TMST: Big Misconception About Blogging
Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post on Rainy Day Ramblings where Rainy discuss a wide range of topics from books to blogging. Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the question and answer it on your blog.
What are some big misconceptions you had about blogging when you started?
Another good question!
I think the biggest misconception was that no one would read my blog. I just thought that there would be one or two. That is why my old, old blog failed. I lost hope and caring. However, I didn't care. I just wanted to share my feelings and thoughts about the things I love.
Sure I don't have a lot of followers. However, I have a few and I have some loyal ones. Would I like more followers? Sure! It doesn't bug me if I never get a new one because I love my blog so much.
Thank you everyone! Love you all. :)

Tell Me Something Tuesday: Vacation Reading
Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post on Rainy Day Ramblings where Rainy discuss a wide range of topics from books to blogging. Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the question and answer it on your blog.
Vacation Reading: What books would you pack for your vacation?
What an appropriate question! I just got back from two long weekend vacations. The other week I went to Indiana with my mom and then this weekend I fly down to Florida for my old High School friend's wedding. Lots of vacationing for the end of June! I have one more scheduled vacation at the end of the August. How do celebrities do this???????
But yes, I always have a couple of paper books and then my kindle fire for access to my ebooks. I try to have a variety when I pack/download a book. I try to have a couple of different genres to avoid boredom. Better to be safe than sorry especially if you are stuck on a plane!
This weekend I packed for Florida last weekend:
One is a murder mystery and the other is Fantasy YA. See?
Here is what I packed for my Indiana trip a couple of weekends ago:
One is a murder mystery and the other is a Historical Fiction.
What do you pack for your vacations?
Here are some pictures from my Florida trip! :3

Tell Me Something Tuesday: Abrupt Endings Are the Worst
Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post on Rainy Day Ramblings where Rainy discuss a wide range of topics from books to blogging. Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the question and answer it on your blog.
What is worse: cliffhanger, abrupt ending or open ending?
A good question indeed! All three can be horrible.
I would have to say the abrupt ending. No one likes abrupt in any form. In movies, shows, or books. Or even music for that matter! Some sort of ending is better than nothing. I’ll even take a cliffhanger because there is something there and something to intrigue me and let me know there is more to come in the next installment(s).
An abrupt ending makes me feel the author was too lazy to finish the story and didn’t know what else to do so they simply just STOPPED and called it an ending. At least with the other two, there was some thought put into it. Even an open-ending has a lot of thought. There is an end, but it does allow the reader or watcher to think.
Also, an abrupt ending is not effective. It pisses (pardon my language) people off. Much like the ending of the infamous ‘Sopranos’. A dare you find a single fan of the show (I never watched it myself) that would applaud the abrupt ending they had there. This form of ending is so unused I cannot even think of a good book example while I can think of a million examples for the other two. Unused because it is the worst ending you can do to your fans.
Yes. Abrupt is the worst and should be avoided by all.

ROADTRIP!
Hey all! I have FANTASTIC news! If you haven't heard or seen on Facebook yet, I am just letting you know I will be on a work roadtrip! I will be in Ohio for 5 days working. :3 I work at a little marketing and promotion firm that helps little businesses promote/sell their products. I've been doing pierogies and I've rocked it! Three of us were chosen to go and do this roadtrip and promote the pierogies in Toledo, Ohio. Too bad we drive seperate tho. Boo.
I am super, duper excited! I leave tonight. I will have my computer (I hope the hotel we are at has wifi....they should, right?) and regular posting will continue! I do have some of the important stuff scheduled JUST in case I do not have wifi or time to play around. It's like a vacation...but I will be working....and I get paid...hmmmm
Wish me luck everyone! ^.^
