I like the actress and the trailer looked badass so why not.
After being kidnapped and locked in a remote tower, this princess is no damsel. She will save herself, her family, and her kingdom from a cruel sociopath who intends on taking the throne for himself.
This does get a hair gruesome here and there so forewarning. Not as bad as some other films, but there were a couple times I was all "OOO derm girl!" lol
This film for sure doesn't take itself seriously and the plot might have some plot holes. Didn't bug me at all. I came in knowing the story might be a little meh, but I watched this for a strong woman kicking ass. The fight scenes were pretty sweet. I wish I was half as cool and badass as the Princess!
My respect went up for this actress when I read that she did 85% of her own stunts. Get it gurl!
oooOOOooo that baddie was fun. Him and his sidekick/lover were certainly bad and cool.
I loved, loved, LOVED Princess' trainer and friend. I would love to see an origin story with her! She was a badass too.
I was also tickled pink to see how this film really promoted that fear doesn't make loyalty. Loving your people and promoting diversity will make your people happy and loyal. Took the King to get over his sexist attitude, but he does (no spoilers there).
The ending was nice. I wanted more though. I was hoping to see more like Violet getting lessons. Or a 10 years later or something. Maybe we'll have a sequel ;) Hint hint Hulu.
Ugh, I was annoyed that the princess wasn't given a name though. They just called her the princess the whole time. Annoying.
Overall, don't take this film too seriously. It's a fun movie with a badass heroine kicking butt and taking no prisoners. I'll give this 3 stars.

We watched this one over the weekend. It was entertaining. Not much plot and the dialogue is a lot of grunts. LOL.

I started, but have not had the time. The baddie was so hot though so I would kill the evil woman and just marry him, mouwahahahah
LMAOOO he is a hottie but he is CRA CRA.
